Vehicle Detail
1965 Chevy Corvair Monza Convertible Your looking/bidding on a 1965 Corvair Monza 110/automatic convertible with 82K miles. The body is extremely solid with minor paint blistering. Rockers, trunk, floor boards and door jams are also very solid. The interior is in very good condition. There is a tear in the passengers seat put serviceable. The power top work great and a new black roof with plastic zippers window comes with it. The existing roof is good but the rear zipper window is cloudy and the zippers is broken. Mechanically the front end at some point before me getting was rebuilt although I did install new shocks, idler are and pitman arm bushing - very responsive. Hancock radials have less than 1000 miles on them. The carbs have been rebuilt, it came with A/C type air filters so I routed the vent to the atmosphere and there is very little blow-by (un-noticable) "O" rings replaced, pan and valve cover gaskets replaced. The transmission pan was dropped and the filter and gasket replaced with new fluid added, it shift smoothly. All in all this is a fine little convertible. I just drove 300 miles round trip with NO issues. On a personal note, I never had a convertible before and thought I would give it a try but have come to the conclusion they're just not m. I'm the 4 door, wagon and panel van enthusiasts. Whom ever gets this car will have many years and miles of enjoyment. Please feel free to ask as many questions you like and good luck.
