This Mustang is a very clean California car featuring original floors, trunk, and inner aprons. The car also has the original quarter panels in place. ( The rear-most lower quarters had minimal rust and were repaired with new metal)This car is nicely equipped with the original 289 V-8, four speed transmission with Hurst shifter, factory GT wheels, and dual exhaust with factory tips.The exterior color is the rare and desirable Ember Glo Metallic, with a parchment interior. BODY CONDITION: As mentioned, the car has the original floors, original trunk floor, and original front inner aprons. This car is very structurally sound.The paint is good, but far from an outstanding show car finish. Numerous areas have small blemishes that have been brush touched, and some minor scratches are present. The gaps are good on all panels. The car is not laser straight, but very presentable.The car has some minimal damage to the leading edge of the right front fender, and just a few small hail dents that can be seen in certain light.The entire under carriage and engine compartment were carefully cleaned and refinished with Chassis Black. Wheel well areas were lightly coated with undercoating, to protect, not to hide any issues. MECHANICAL CONDITION: The brakes have been refurbished with all new wheel cylinders, shoes, hardware, and master cylinder. Drums were of course turned, and all brake lines were cleaned and inspected and all rubber was replaced. The emergency brake assembly was cleaned, reinstalled, and is functional. The front suspension was disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and the re-installed springs, ball joints, tie-rod ends are all fully functional and operating nicely. The rear springs were cleaned, painted, and re-installed. The car has new shocks all around, with air shocks in the rear. The radiator was cleaned, tested and painted. Fuel tank was inspected and new sender was installed, fuel lines cleaned, inspected, reinstalled. The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner a number of years ago. Since that time a minor wrist pin noise has persisted. It has not gotten worse over time. The engine runs well, and pulls strong. We rebuilt the alternator, and installed a new thermostat. The engine was cleaned and painted. The clutch assembly was replaced and flywheel resurfaced. The close ratio four speed was completely rebuilt with new gears, bearings, and seals. This serves as a replacement to the three speed that the car was originally equipped with. The car has a Hurst Competition Plus shifter with new reverse switch and a new, correct shift knob. The driveshaft was cleaned, inspected and painted with new u-joints installed. The rear-end was cleaned, inspected and re-built with new bearings and seals. The engine compartment wiring harness was replaced, as were the heater box and firewall seals. All lights and accessories are operational. The car has new belts, hoses, and four new tires. INTERIOR CONDITON: The headliner, door panels, and arm rests were replaced with correct parts, as was the dash bezel, rear view mirror, and glove box. Seats and carpets are original and in nice shape, but clearly not in concours condition. Seat trim and sill plates were replaced. The windshield and back glass were reset in new gaskets. The vent frames have minor pitting. Door handles, bumpers, and rocker moldings were replaced, as were the quarter panel spears. Back-up lamps and parking lamps have been replaced. SUMMARY: This is a nice solid Mustang that runs and drives extremely well. The color combination makes the car very attractive, and this car will provide years of fun and pleasure. This car shows well and attracts a good deal of attention and positive comments everywhere it goes. It can be driven with absolute confidence anywhere! Feel free to email any questions.
