Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1976 International scout traveler with a 4 speed tranny and 304 engine. This scout was bought new to be used as a farm vehicle. Thats the reason for the low miles and rust. The scout never had tags on it until the late 90s. The guy I purchased the scout from put about $1,000.00 in it to pass inspection and then he licensed it. He drove it for only a few years then he parked it after the clutch went out. It doesnt look like much but it runs and drives excellent. I know for sure the scout has under 70,000 miles on it but i can't remember exactly what the title had listed. I am selling this as a parts vehicle, because i lost the title while moving and I am unable to contact the previous owner. The doors are off of an older scout and the windows havent been switched over yet. The doors still need some adjusting to latch properly. I also have the old doors with the windows in them to be swapped. The front floor pans are currently cut out and the back floors need to be replaced. I have the starter wired to a push button switch because the original one needs to be replaced. The two barrel holley needs to be rebuilt and I have a rebuild kit in the box for that. I noticed recently a tiny leak on the bottom of the radiator. The upholstry on the front bench seat is tore. Listed below are all the new parts I have put on the scout: Brakes front and back, front rotors, exhaust including gaskets, rear u-joint, NEW CLUTCH KIT (OVER $500.00) with maybe 5 miles on it, fuel pump with an extra new one to go along, starter, valve cover gaskets, 2 new rocker panels (one tacked on), 2 new rear cheater panels (one tacked on), water pump, plugs and plug wires. This scout has lots of good parts for someone who needs them, and I don't want to see them go to waste. I would rather take a loss on it than to see it rot to the ground. All the electrical parts and guages work. I can't stress enough how well the motor and drivetrain runs. I wanted to go into detail so you could know what parts are still good or new. If you have any questions at all e-mail me and i will gladly answer. I work shift work so my timing on answers could be at any time. All sales are final.
