This M3 is a pre production M3 originally owned by BMW AG to introduce the new model to consumers. As such it was uniquely trimmed and optioned with packages that could not be combined once the consumer E46 M3s went into production. For me this combination of options is perfect and I regret having to sell the car because it is irreplaceable. The car is equiped with: 6 Speed Manual Transmission, Factory Sunroof delete, Factory Harmon Kardon 10 Speaker Sound System, Factory CD Based Navigation (Updated CD installed), Home Link (Factory Garage Door Openers), Factory 6 CD Changer, Manual Heated Seats, Front, Rear and Side Air Bags, Optonal 19" Wheels and Xenon Headlights. The interior is unique in that the car came with wood trim instead of the aluminum trim found on regular production M3s. The combination of wood and cinnamon leather is stunning. Condition: The condition of the car is near perfect and reflects the fanatical maintainace lavished upon it by it's last 2 european car nut owners. No dents, dings or noticable scratches. There are a few MINOR pits up front but you need to really look to find them.One fog light is cracked and has not yet been replaced. Maintainance performed exceeds what is recommended by the factory. Freshly adjusted valves, oil change, filters, belts and brake fluid just changed. Tires were installed at Weber BMW, filled with nitrogen and have over 7/32 of an inch. There are no mechanical issues with the car and it does everything perfectly. While performing the last valve adjustment a picture was taken so potential owners can actually see what is under the valve cover. Bidding starts at $17k. My friend works for the Weber BMW dealership and performed the late 2003 LED tail light retrofit using all genuine BMW parts including the newer light control module (approx $1400). Weber BMW was an authorized Dinan dealer when they installed Dinan software and a Dinan shift kit on the car. Headlight lenses were replaced and genuine BMW Titan headlight inserts were installed. Both still look new. The car was fitted at the dealership with an extra set of rear wheels and tires on the front to decrease oversteer. This is similiar to what Dinan does but my friend used the factory wheels instead. My friend is more than happy to discuss the car and provide additional internal BMW data on the car.On Sep-07-10 at 08:30:48 PDT, seller added the following information:The car has been fitted with Genuine BMW euro rotors.
