The SL had 54,963 miles on the odometer then. Over the past six years I have driven the regularly but never in rain or snow and it was always garage kept. If I knew I couldn’t drive it for more than 2 weeks I put on an original Mercedes-Benz cover made for the 560 SL (will be sold with the SL). I also have the original hardtop (electrically heated) in the same car color black that is stored on a foldable stand with a cover also sold with the SL. It has been serviced annually and I have the records for these. The vehicle is in used but great condition and everything is original. The paint is meticulous and has only a few very minor scratches (I have the original paint from Dr. Color Chip if wanted). Both, the soft and hard tops are excellent. The photos should prove that but you are welcome to come by and check the SL before bidding. I can fax or email the most recent carfax report on request. Both keys are available. In addition to the hard top on a stand with cover and the car cover I also still have the original window sticker, the Owner’s Manual, manual for the Operation and Care of the Tops, the 1986 Owner’s Service and Warranty Policy the 1985 MB Dealer Directory, and the Maintenance Booklet – all with the original plastic bag. Also, the original tool set is available still in the original plastic bag – never opened! Although I upgraded the radio to a modern Blaupunkt Kingston MP47 to take advantage of CD’s and iPod’s I also have the original Becker Grand Prix radio with the Operation Instructions. Both operate with an automatic antenna. Terms and Conditions: The vehicle will be sold “As Is” with no warranty and is available for pick up at its current location with 10 calendar days. The buyer is responsible to make the arrangements and pay the costs associated with picking up or shipping the vehicle. A $500.00 deposit is required within 48 hours after the successful end of the auction. The balance is due within 7 calendar days after the end of the auction or at the time the vehicle is picked up – whatever is earlier. If the vehicle is not picked up within 10 days or the balance is not paid within 7 days or at the time of pick-up, the sale may be cancelled by Buyer. The deposit will not be reimbursed to Seller. I will accept PayPal (preferred), cashier’s check (certified from a US bank), cash, electronic transfer or money order. Transfer of the title needs to be in compliance with applicable law and NC DOT’s regulations.
