1995 Ford Explorer XLT, 4 x 4, 4-Door Selling "AS IS" condition. Good for parts, as it needs transmission work and possible power steering pump. 6 cylinder, Automatic Transmission Original owner. Non-smoking vehicle. Features: Tow Package, Roof Rack, 6-Seats (front bench seat and 60/40 rear seat) Interior Condition: Good. Engine: NEW steering rack, NEW gas tank. Needs transmission work. Exterior Condition: Okay-Good, with lower body rust by Running Boards Vehicle Inspection: Buyers may choose to have the vehicle inspected at their own time and expense prior to the close of sale. Repairs done last year: - Steering Rack and Pinion replaced - Rear Differential replaced - Serpentine Belt replaced - Muffler, Int Pipe, Flange Savor, Tail Pipe replaced - PCV replaced (EGR and EGR Pipe, tube connector, hose assemblies and sleeve sensor replaced) - Sway Bar repair - U-Joint, Rear Driveshaft at Rear Axle and Transmission replaced. Comments: Gas tank replaced in Fall '08. Brakes are ok, Engine runs (no smoke). Issues: Our mechanic said that there is a steering problem (probably the steering pump) as the steering fluid does not seem to be flowing through to the column properly and transmission problems, possibly torque converter (car leaks trans fluid). Note: The car is NOT driveable with the steering and transmission issues; it would need to be towed.
