1979 Fuel Injected Super Beetle California Car,dry rust free Napa area Classic Original Red paint, repainted deep beautiful red Best running fuel injected beetle In the state, should smog no problem V.W ASE Mechanic as previous owner Rebuilt 1600cc engine including heads and fuel injection 12,000 miles ago with new clutch New Convertible Top I have personally viewed over 200 beetle convertibles the last 5 years and 20 in the last 6 months ranging in price from $1500 for rusted junk to $20,000 show winner. You cant find a 1979 Super beetle Convertible in The entire Country less then $3000 unless its Rusted Junk on ebay. Most wont even dare to show the floor pans or engine. I have done research and of 16 1979 Super beetle Convertibles that are forsale on ebay right now. 1. 2 79 Beetle convertibles less then $3000 bid but bidding far from over 2. 7 79 Beetle Convertibles from $4000-$6,500 and most reserves not met,and nowhere near mine. 3. 6 79 Beetle Convertibles $6,600-$9,9999 reserves on most not met. Closer to mine 4. 3 79 Beetle Convertibles $10,000-$24,000 low mileage(so they say) Excellent Cars I then Checked other online sites I will not mention 5. 22 79 Beetle Convertibles from coast to coast $12,000-$29,000 6. 43 79 Beetles over $4000-$12,000 coast to coast Ok what does this mean? Of the 81, 1979 Beetle Convertibles I looked up 4 had extra low millage meaning under 10,000 miles.There was 10 with mileage 20,000 to 30,000 miles.There was 8, 79 beetles that were recently restored top to bottom with mileage up to 100,000. These were the $12,000-$29,000 cars. Ok of the next 59 ,1979 Super Beetle Convertibles 57 were over $3,500 asking price. There was one on ebay with no motor or tranny for $4,000, a salvaged title car Close to $2000 and everything in between. That is why I am electing to start my bidding at the Nations Average asking price for a unrestored project price. I am not in anyway saying my 79 is worth $3,500, I have sold other beetle convertibles for 2 and 3 times more, but the economy has slowed. The final price is for the ebay bidders to determine after checking other cars,viewing my pictures and video and making a good honest bid, so there is no bickering after the auction. We both have no regrets or complaints after auctions end. Terms, phone call immediatly after auction secures car NO deposit and full payment in 72 hours or 3 Days of auctions end. California Title sent by certified mail with confirmation tracking number. Payment made by bank wire transfer ,certified bank check or cash in person. Time for tire kicking, inspections are prior to bidding. You may have a independent inspection done if you cant come in person but at your cost. I try to make them affordable, but yet reliable and look good. Not everything is replaced, the car isnt perfect and the condition is in the eye of the beholder.
