MUCH SOUGHT AFTER, CLASSIC 1988 TOYOTA LANDCRUISER. WELL KEPT AND IN GOOD CONDITION; NEWLY PAINTED WITH COLD A/C, NEW TIRES AND SHOCKS. WE HAVE OWNED AND DRIVEN THIS TRUCK FOR 20 YEARS AND IT'S TIME FOR SOMETHING A LITTLE MORE FAMILY-FRIENDLY. HAS VERY LITTLE RUST FOR A FLORIDA CAR. JUST HAD SOME TRANSMISSION WORK DONE AND THE TRUCK IS DRIVEABLE BUT THE MECHANIC SAID LONG TERM IT WILL NEED SOME MORE EXTENSIVE WORK. On Sep-04-10 at 12:28:32 PDT, seller added the following information:I seem to be getting a lot of the same question: "What did the mechanic tell you will need to be done to the transmission long term?" Answer: I took the car in because it was having trouble shifting gears correctly. The mechanic had to clean out the screen because it had some debris in it; this fixed the problem and the truck is working now, but he said without removing and opening up the transmission he couldn't tell me exactly what had caused the foul up. I am currently driving the car on a daily basis, so it is running well...
