Vehicle Detail
This is a 1987 Mercedes Benz 300 SDL Turbo Diesel. This car runs and drives, but the transmission seems to be stuck in 2nd gear. It will need to be trailered home. This car could be fixed up and driven, or consider it a running parts car. I know NOTHING about these cars! I bought it from a guy who just basicly wanted it gone because he didn't have the knowledge or time and space to work on it anymore. I towed it home and got it running. This is what I know, the car cranks up and idles and doesn't smoke any more than you would expect from a diesel. I drove it a short distance, and it seems to be stuck in 2nd gear. Someone said it may be a vacuum problem but I don't know. It will go forward and backward, and you should be able to drive it up on a trailer. The sunroof, power windows, power locks, and power seats all work. No radio, and the A/C blower is not working.(may just be a fuse I don't know) The leather seats look good except for the driver seat has a tear.(see pics) The carpet is dirty, but could be cleaned. The paint is shot, but the body is straight except for a dent over the pass side headlight about 3 inches long that got the hood and fender. (see Pics) Only other dent is in the driver side quarter panel, about the size of a nickel looks to be pushed out like something inside the trunk slid and hit it from the inside. I didn't notice any rust that I can recall anywhere on the car. It appears to have new Euro headlights with blue tinted bulbs. All lights, turn signals, interior lights ETC work. Clean SC title in hand. What you see is what you get. As is Where is, I have told you all I know. $250.00 Non refundable deposit within 48 hrs of auction end. Balance within 7 days in CASH in person. I can store a reasonable amount of time until you can pick it up if needed. Good luck, and thanks for looking. No reserve, winner takes all. I added a Youtube video of it running, but I'm not hearing sound for some reason. Anyway, It is a low quality video shot with a cell phone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqRwRVmSaNw
