ALL ORIGINAL AND VERY SOLID 1970 BUICK RIVIERA WELCOME TO ANOTHER "NO RESERVE" AUCTION ! This Rivie should be considered a step above just a solid project car as it is does run, but has needs for it to become a daily driver!! This auction also has NO RESERVE, high bid takes it home. If winning bidder is in Southern California, I can assist with delivery, I also deliver to the shipping terminals in the Los Angeles area on a weekly basis. I do have a few bidder requirements at the bottom of the page, please read them and the entire listing BEFORE placing your bid. Please take the time to view the detailed pictures, I am very thorough when shooting and describing a vehicle and make every effort to catch as much detail as possible! This Buick has been in our indoor storage since 1996. It is still in original condition, but is unrestored and does have its needs, please consider this when placing your bid. Cosmetically, this Riviera is very solid and straight, it is a easy 7-8 on a scale of 1-10. The only actual body work needed is on the passenger 1/4 panel (see pics), this is what caused the car to have a salvage title back in 1996. The rest of the body is very straight and near perfect! Upon inspection you will see that there is no rust or rot on this car, it is very solid with no more than sandable surface "sun" rust. The floors and undercarriage look excellent! Every piece of trim, molding and stainless is intact and on the car. All glass is clean and clear and in nice shape. It does appear that this is still the original and correct factory paint. Left tail light needs replaced. We had the wheel skirts with the car, but over time in storage they have vanished. The hood hinges are very stiff and if you don't have 2 people to close the hood, it bends at the hinges, so the hood needs repair on the under support. Doors open and close solid, no hang or drag. The interior is 100% complete, fully loaded, all original and well above average for a 40 year old car! I can see the headliner, front seat and door armrest will need recovered. Back seat is nice and there are 2 sun cracks on the dash pad. Mechanically, the factory correct 455 and auto transmission are complete and the car does run. The mechanic has inspected the car and states the ignition switch will need replaced, but the car will start and run when hot wired to distributor and solenoid. This is a factory A/C and P/S car! I have in hand the salvage California title on this Buick, the brake and light inspection have already been done and I have placed the vehicle on non-op status with DMV, so no back fees are due. The car is located in Moreno Valley, California 92551 (Southern California) near March Air Base. I encourage personal inspections and am available Monday-Saturday 8am-5pm for personal viewing.
