Vehicle Detail
This is a 1956 Chrysler 300B with its matching numbers 354 Dual Quad Hemi. Frame and motor numbers have been verified and numbers do match. It has 66,000 miles on it and was last registered in 1964. It was sitting in a barn in NY with 2 flats in the rear, which explains the rusty areas, it needs lower quarters and rockers. This car still has it's original paint, factory inspection stamps, even the battery cable ends are factory originals. This car runs on a gas can under the hood and sounds nice. It can be yard driven, shifts nicely but brake peddle is down (stops with e brake). I see 2 freeze out plugs that are leaking so it wont hold water at this time. The stainless spears that are not seen in the pictures are in the car along with extra grill and other parts in the trunk. The only part I don't have is the front bumper (same as a Windsor) but the brackets are in the trunk. The fenders are not completly bolted up, someone started to remove the nose when I found it and I just put it back on for transport. This is a extremly rare piece with only 1100 of these made and many were raced in Nascar and are long gone. Restored these cars can bring strong money. The reserve is being set low to assure it sells and it is well below the NADA "Low" of $23,500. This car is being sold as is with no warrenties expressed. It will be sold with a CT QA1 Bill of Sale only so please check with your DMV to assure this is accepted in your state. Inspections and questions are welcome. I have more pics upon request. Please be sure you are comfortable with what you are bidding and good luck. Buyer is responsible for transportation of vehical to its new home. I will help load it. I could deliver it within a reasonable distance for an agreed cost.On Sep-02-10 at 16:46:20 PDT, seller added the following information: With 120 watchers at this point and many questions I wanted to add the following....The frame on this car is rock solid. The doors, fenders, hood, roof and trunk lid are all near perfect and still wearing its original paint. I have the replacement rocker panels and wheel well arch patch panels, not the rear lower quarters which are actually just flat straight pieces which could easily be fabricated. I added a few more pics including ones of the spears that are not on the car and the Hemi plug covers. This car fires right up, runs great and drives. The brakes need work but the e brake stops the car well. Again this is a all matching numbers car that has been verified. You are still welcome to ask any questions if this information has not answered yours. Thank you for your intrest in this great piece of American History. This is one cool car!!On Sep-05-10 at 04:37:22 PDT, seller added the following information: I have lowered the reserve as of today and we are very close to meeting it. Someone is going to get a great deal for a potentially very expensive car. The winner should contact me with a phone number with in 24 hours of auction end to make payment and pick up arrangements. Thank You.
