Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1930 Ford Model A Coupe with a rumble seat. This Model A has been being restored over the past year or so. All work has been done by a certified ASE mechanic who has been a great help with this car. The body has been completely disassembled down to the frame. The frame was then sent out to a sandblaster who sandblasted the entire frame, motor, transmission, rearend, brakes, all running gear etc. and then immediately primed. We then painted the frame and all running gear with chassis black paint. The vehicle has since been reassembled to begin body work. This Model A is currently running and driving. Shifts thru all gears. Clutch, pressure plate, transmission, drive shaft and rear end work smoothly as they should. Brakes work, new battery, many new parts installed. It starts right up and runs great with no sign of smoke, engine missing etc. The engine, transmission, drive line all have been partially disassembled to insure all is in good working conditon and parts replaced as needed. As you can see in the photos the Model A has been put in primer after sanding to prevent any rust. It is now ready for final body work and interior or you may just want to drive it like it is and turn it into a "Rat Rod" ? Tires have plenty of tread left. The rims have also been sandblasted and primer as well. If the "Buy It Now" price is met I will include well over $3,000.00 worth of new and NOS parts to complete the project. Just about everything needed to completely finish the restoration including rubber motor mounts, brake light assembly, trim, running boards, body parts, suspension, brake, interior parts etc. Much to many new parts to list in this auction. Over a couple of hundred restoration parts, moulding, brake, running gear, interior, exterior parts etc. I will try to list and photograph all the parts included later in the auction. I have submitted several photos of the car so please look at them for a better description and feel free to contact me with any and all questions. Bidders are welcome to come inspect, drive and check the car out prior to auctions end. I have much more invested that what I am asking for this great car with much potential and that does include all the man hours. Selling due to health reasons and now need the money for medical bills. I truly wanted to finish this vehicle and if my health would allow me to do so, this would not be up for sale. The Model A is also up for sale locally and if that happens I will reserve the right to end this auction early. Good luck to all bidders !!!On Sep-01-10 at 15:41:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Come on people !!! This Ford Model A Coupe is a much better deal that the bids refect !!! I totaled the new and NOS parts that come with and are needed to complete this transaction and stop counting at $4,200.00. What a Deal !!! This Model A runs, drives stops and has had most of the hard part of the restoration completed. The car was totally disassembled, body off the frame etc. Then sandblasted, primed and finally painted. We then put the body back on the frame so it is driveable for shipping. It would make a great "Rat Rod" or complete the restoration. This is a great investment if someone has the time and ability to complete the restoration and there by at least tripling your investment. I never dreamed that I would be selling this Model A;however, with health problems and fighting Cancer the reality is that I know that I will not be able to complete this project. My loss is definitely your gain. Thanks for takeing the time to view my auction. On Sep-01-10 at 15:50:34 PDT, seller added the following information: I just now lowered the reserve to $6500 and the "Buy It Now" price to $6900. Needless to say, that is much less than I have invested in this Model A. Heck, that is just about what I paid when I bought the car two years ago and it was not even running. Believe me, I know a good deal when I see it. This Model A was a good deal when I bought it and it is now most definitely a better deal for the lucky new owner. If you are interested in Ford Model A Coupe, you will look long and hard to find a better deal than this one !!! I know the winning bidder will be more than happy to get this car. Thanks and good luck to all !On Sep-01-10 at 16:01:51 PDT, seller added the following information: One more thing I forgot to mention. This coming Saturday, September 4th....the day prior to this auction ending, I will be taking the Model A to a local car show in Winnsboro, Texas with the intentions of selling it locally. Anyone in the area that is interested in this Model A is welcome to stop by the show and inspect the car. Needless to say, that if it sells I reserve the right to end the auction early. Thanks for understanding.
