Up for auction is a 1965 Ford Mustang. This Mustang is 99 percent complete, and I really do mean that. It has gone through a full, every nut and bolt rottiserie refinish job. The paint job is a 14k job, very high quality. Paint and body work............. Every nut and bolt was removed from this car. The car was then blasted and a proffesional rear subframe, mini tubs and chrome moly roll bar were installed. The body was then primed with an epoxy and the blocking started. The car was blocked and primed, any dents fixed properly and blocked for months. Then the car was sprayed top side and underneath with base coat clear ppg global system. The side color is called cranberry metalic and is a cadillac color. A dark silver pinstripe was sprayed underneath the clear also. The top is black and so is the engine compartment, and underneath. After the entire car was alighned and painted the car sat for 2 weeks to let all solvents evaporate and then the wet sand and buffing started. The paint is truly amazing and was $2500 in just paint on this car not including the labor of painting and body work, the only cars that are this thorough sell for around 50k usually Suspension................ The rear suspension is all custom. It is a shortened 9 inch rear painted cranberry metalic with a parallel 4 link that was custom made for the car. And has a wishbone assembly to keep the axle located in the center. It has competition engineering adjustable coil overs in the back. The third member is 31 spline posi unit with 4.33 gears. the axles are moroso 31 spline big bearing axles. The front suspension is the stock mustang style but every piece has been rebuilt the suspension was also painted cranberry metalic before assembly. It has gas shocks, and heavy duty lowering coil springs in the front to give the car a nice stance. The steering is the quick ratio shelby steering kit. The front wheels are 15x7 american racing wheels with 225/50/15 bfgs on them and the rear are 15x10 with 325/50/15 bfg street slicks on them. brakes.......... the front has 11.75 inch wilwood front brakes that were pretty pricey. The rear are also disc brakes and are new from ford, they are the explorer style brakes. A line loc solenoid has also been installed but the switch has not been wired. Motor.......... The motor is a fresh 331 stroker, balanced, forged pistons, edelbrock performer intake, edelbrock performer rpm camshaft, heads have been ported on the intake and exhaust. All the accessories are new on the motor and work great. The motor has also been painted the cranbeery metalic. It has a high performance distributor on it also. The car has a nitrous kit installed but has not been wired and never used. It is the edelbrock performer kit, and even the brackets that hold the bottle down were painted with base coat clear cranberry metallic. The motor also has a nice set of roller rockers on it. The carb is a proform 650 hp carb. This motor really screams. there is also a nice tach mounted with a shift light and rev limiter. The car has a set of long tube headers going into a 2.5 inch exhaust with thrush mufflers exiting before the rear tire. all the hoses have been replaced, and an aluminum radiator installed. Electrical system.......... Everything in the electrical system has been replaced all new switches on the dash, and all new wirring 5 guage set up and all guages work except spedo. A new cd player was also installed in the dash and works great. transmission.........The trans is a 5 speed that was built by a local shop to withstand the motor in this car. A high performance clutch was also installed. And the driveshaft was custom made for the car. Interior..... The dash has been painted the cranberry, new glove box pieces, new guage bezels etc. The seats were redone, and the carpet was replaced and there is sound deadner underneath the car. A new headliner was installed, and the mini tubs have been wrapped in carpet and some custom vinyl pieces made for the back. Door panels and kick panels are included but not installed. Overall this is a really nice car and I really hate to get rid of it but I am moving on. I have about 50k invested in this car and know I will never get that back out of the car. The car is 99 percent done and only needs a few things to be 100 percent. Things left to do............ Quarter and fender extensions painted and installed, and they are included. quarter glass installed (included), Passenger door glass installed (included), Door panels installed (included), inner quarter interior panels trimmed to fit around tub and installed (included), Kick panels installed (included), splash shields instaleld (included), Parking brake cable installed (not included) although handle is in the car, lower windshield molding installed (included), windshield wiper arms (included), and finally the car needs a front end alighnment. And the car is 100 percent at that point. My loss can be some one elses gain, I don't have time to finish the car so bring all offers! As you can see a weekends worth of work and the car will be completley done and ready for cruising.
