Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is a very clean 1999 Volvo S70 AWD turbo sedan with 163,000 miles that overheated after a radiator failure. Car is a well maintained non-smoker with a clean Florida title and recent upgrades. Blisten Struts are less than six month’s old, x-drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads are new on all four corners, and the Uniroyal tires have about 15,000 miles on them. No issues with car when the radiator gave out. For the right person, this will be an easy fix – Currently available through FCP Groton is the radiator (36000001) for $265 and the head gasket set (275254) for $117.99. Worse case would be a replacement engine, and those are available on eBay for less than $1,000. I just don’t have the time needed to get this one back on the road so my loss is your gain. Kelly Blue Book values a car of this type in good running condition between $4,545 and $4,095. Beside being one of the safest cars on the road, the Volvo S70 AWD has many features: AWD Traction Control, A/C Dual Climate Control, Power Steering, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Cruise Control, AM/FM/CD/Cass, Dual Front & Side Air Bags, ABS (4 wheel), Heated Front Seats, Dual Power Seats, Drivers Memory Seat, Alloy Wheels, Moon Roof. Car is available for viewing upon request. Car is sold as is where is. Please ask questions prior to placing a bid. Reserve the right to end the auction early if sold locally. On Aug-31-10 at 15:03:19 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATED DESCRIPTION: Getting a few questions about wheither the car currently runs - Last time I spent any time with the auto was at the dealer three weeks ago (early August). At that time it ran but with a pretty serious miss. Dealer explained that the head gasket gave out between the third and fourth cylinder causing the miss. Had the car towed home and parked in the drive way. Have not tried to start it since, so it has sat for the last three weeks. Want to be stright forward as possible so today I went out and attempted to start the car. Motor turns over easily, and does fire, but did not start. I only tried to start the car twice (three to four seconds per cycle) so it might start with a little work, but this is an "as is" auction so I didn't try to get it to start again. Still want all bidders to have the most complete information available. Please ask any additional questions prior to bidding. Thank you.
