Up for sale is a 1997 GMC K1500 pickup with the Z71 off road package. It has 201,002 miles on it and is a strong runner. Includes Toneau cover. Though the cover itself is fairly dried out, the frame is in great shape. The Good: This truck handles very well both on and off road. It is equipped with the 5.7L V8 and an automatic transmission. The tranny was replaced in 2007 when the truck had somewhere around 120,000 miles. So this tranny has only 60,000 miles on it. This tranny is a GM factory reman. The engine is equipped with a K&N filter. The lower ball joints were replaced in September 2009 as were the rear brakes. Front brake pads were replaced in May 2010. Has been maintained with synthetic oil since 2005. There is no body rot anywhere on the vehicle. The Bad: It is a 1997 so there are paint imperfections. The air conditioning compressor just went on me in August. It has seized solid and will need replacement. The suspension is starting to get a little soft in it though it is by no means bottoming out. I would recommend replacing the shocks. Overall this is a very solid truck that is still in great running condition. Don't hesitate to send me any questions you have about it. This truck is equipped with a Tekonsha trailer brake controller and a 7 & 4 pin plug on the bumper. Everything works fine and the truck did just fine pulling a single car trailer with it. The plug may need to be replaced as its housing was cracked over this past winter by a chunk of ice.
