Reason for selling: I just graduated from the University of Central Florida, in Orlando, with a bachelors in Management-Entrepreneurship. I then signed up to serve an outreach program with my church for six months where they'll send me somewhere in the country. Because of that, I am selling most of my belongings, as well as these two bikes (the other YZ250 is listed as well). Bike History: I am the 2nd owner of this bike, and I purchased it used from a dealership in Arkansas, from which I received a receipt (They do not title bikes there). I purchased it April 2005. Shortly thereafter, I purchased a brand new 2005 RM125 engine off eBay for over $1300 and installed the entire system in this bike. So this is a 2004 chassis with a 2005 engine (the 2005 motor has the powerjet addition to the carburetor and advanced ignition timing). I rode it for practice for two seasons in 2005 and 2006, then I went to college :) and it rarely saw the dirt again. Since Summer 2006 it has been used for occasional trail riding (less than 5 times a year). In August 2009 it was taken to a track for 4 rides. So this bike has had most of its time sitting on a stand. Care/Maintenance: The engine ran on Klotz Super Techniplate premix. The filter was changed when dirtied and the engine passageways were meticulously cleaned and kept free of dust/lint/dirt/debris. The fluids, chain freeplay, fork and tire pressure were always checked and adjusted before riding. The chain was lubed frequently between riding breaks with Maxima Chain wax, right after pulling off the track. The chain has lasted for 4 years and still has lots of life left. I'm impressed with it! All the bearings are snug, well greased, and free moving. As good as it looks aesthetically, mechanically its rock solid. Maintenance on a 2stroke is the same as a 4stroke save for the constant $8/qt every-other-ride oil changes and valve adjustments. Versus mixing inexpensive premix in your fuel. Take your pick. Lets not even get into costs of engine failure Condition/Details: This bike is in immaculate condition! The body-kit, graphics, grips, front steel braided brake line, and tires are brand new. The frame has been freshly painted with several coats of a flat black primer (for ease of later touch up). The rings are new, and the piston has been inspected and is still within spec. The fork oil and bushings were replaced in 2006, so they have only a few rides on them. All chassis bearings were frequently lubricated with a marine Teflon grease. The bike runs and shifts gears perfectly. The clutch is in excellent condition, as pictured. Aftermarket Parts and Additional Accessories included: Suspension - The previous owner had the forks and shock serviced by Pro Works. I am uncertain exactly what was performed, but I assume it was revalved, along with oil, bushings, and seal replacement. During the time that I changed the fork oil in 2006, I installed stiffer springs for both the forks and shock. The forks are equipped with quick-touch air bleeders. Engine - First of all, the motor has been upgraded to a 2005 model engine. The following parts have been added. -Wiseco piston and ring installed. - MotoTassinari V-Force reed cage. -Pro circuit Platinum pipe with FMF shorty silencer (the jetting was adjusted for both exhaust pipes) -Boyesen clutch cover and DSP carbon fiber ignition cover Wheels - both front and back wheels are Excel Takasago Black anodized rims. Both wheels have been wrapped with fresh brand new tires, never ridden! The rear wheel bearings were replaced. Body - Brand new Polisport Body kit, Acerbis fork guards, and One Industries Alpha Graphics Kit Accessories - Works Connection Glideplate Russel Steel braided front brake line International bidders are welcome! I will need to know whether you intend on picking it up or if you will have it shipped. I will be expecting immediate communication from the buyer regarding his/her plans for purchasing/delivery. The payment must be processed promptly. If these details are disregarded, it will add much difficulty to the processing of the transaction. So PLEASE be prepared to act fast after the auction ends. Shipping: I am offering shipping both internationally and domestically. I am estimating shipping for the lower 48 states at $150. Domestic shipping will be via Fedex. I will disassemble the bike and ship it in 5-7 boxes to your door (I've packed and shipped hundreds of MX parts due to my business - I know what I'm doing). You will receive it in a timely manner and for a low cost. I will charge the actual shipping for this bike. I've had one shipped from MI to FL for only $96. So $150 should be the high end. It is available to pick up the bike from Orlando. Another option is I will be driving from Orlando to south/central Virginia back to my parents house. I will be driving the major interstates through GA-I95, SC-I95-I26-I77, NC-I85-hwys 52-158-220, and VA. I plan to leave Saturday, 9/4/10. If you want, I can bring the bike with me and we can meet somewhere along the way. International shipping is available, but expect it to cost close to $1000. It performs very smoothly and is not grabby in any way. Once again, this bike is in immaculate condition - both cosmetically and mechanically.
