emike1956 Store Description This auction is for a cream and chocolate brown Deluxe 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air 4 door sedan in Excellent condition. The Original motor (215.5 cu in (3.5 L) is in Excellent Fine-Tuned Running Condition and can actually be heard by clicking Here. There is very little rust over-all, because in Montana there are no oceans and the winter ice on highways is removed mostly by sand, not salt, thus increasing body-life of older autos. The car is always kept in a garage, so has minimal weather damage. The tires are like new with minimal wear, and come with a beautiful set of wheel covers. Most of the chrome is intact, and there's a lot of it. The paint is also in good condition, having been repainted, noting a few scratches and a small amount of rust mainly on the roof and near the trunk area. There are two chips in the glass, about the size of a bb hole. One is on the drivers side front window and the other is on the drivers side door window. Neither impair vision and are probably fixable. The interior is in good condition with some wear on the driver's seat and the original head liner that may need replaced. The door panels are solid and in good condition with all original handles intact. The gauges are all original. The speedometer does not work and the radio does not work. The wipers, blinkers, and clock work. The lights work, and the tail lights are a special star shape when lit. (see scan) These are from a 1954 Bel Air, however the original tail-light chrome pieces are also included; you may need some lens. The trunk is in good condition with good flooring. The floor in the car itself has been refinished and is in excellent condition. There's also a visor, seen on the grass in one of the pics, that can be attached above the windshield. Over-all this Classic 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air is in Excellent Original condition. Sold as is and responsibility to pick up and haul is up to the buyer.
