Hello all and welcome to my Auction. I have a great little 1979 super beetle convertible going no reserve. Next please take the time to read ad fully and ask questions if at all in doubt of anything, if you only like looking at shiny pictures I beg you not to bid. Ok now to the car. I will keep this very short. If you are expecting anything more then a good driver or beach cruiser this isn't the car for you. It is not perfect and wasn't perfect the day it was made. It does have new paint and runs super with a excellent 1600cc Fuel injected motor and a 4 speed manual tranny that shifts like it should. This was owned by a Volkswagon repair shop in Northern California near Napa. When I bought the car he said it ran great and there is nothing I have noticed to disagree with him. It runs very strong and its very hard to find a excellent running fuel injected beetle. The interior is so so and really should be freshened up, and I am ordering new door panals, sunvisors,and a seat cover that I will have installed before the car is picked up. The top is ok at best and could use a new top and headliner. I would install a new top padding and headliner if bidding goes over $4000. That is a $1500 value at any interior shop and I can have it done the same day it arrives. Tires are ok and again im not jumping up and down about the tires , but they hold air and seem to be fine with no shakes in the sterring. The bumpers have good chrome , no real pitting , but a judgement call if you are picky. I think they are good enough for a driver quality car. This is a real German Red Beetle and not a beetle that was repainted red. It does have its original paint sticker on the left shock tower. Please check out picture of seats and dash, there are cracks in dash, but a dash covver for $80 solves that quickly and inexpensive. I can install a cover for free if you buy the cover. To sum this car up its a driver/cruiser and is a blast to drive and runs great. The engine alone in this running condition is worth $2200 so please no stupid cash offers of $423 or whatever. This car should be worth as much and more then the others I have sold. I only sell Beetle convertibles and I travel all over California finding excellent beetle Convertibles doing the leg work for you and offer all my cars No RESERVE with my good feedback and my commitment to making sure you are happy I can continue to offer these great cars at no reserve. All I ask is to be paid promptly and buyer to follow my terms. You can buy from someone else if you dont agree with my terms and I will not be offended as I do not want someone to win the auction by $50 and then think he did me a favor. I can sell these cars locally for $5500 to $6500 with out much trouble, but my goal it to make good name for my self on ebay and offer these cars with no complaints and no regrets on either side after the sale. This is a auction and needs to be treated like one. NO TIRE KICKERS!! If you win the auction you bought the car, time for inspections are prior to auctions end. Terms no deposit , but full payment must be made by Bank wire,certified Check from U.S Bank, or cash in person. Cash in person is best but not all can do that. Title is being processed with California Dmv and this car has been VIn Verified and is titled in my name. I will send title if its not back from Sacramento before pick up. If you do not agree with these simple terms dont bother even bidding please. I have sold other beetles with the same terms and my feedback speaks for itself. This is a 31 year old car and far from original condition or is sold as is . Since it has gone over $4,000.00 I am including the new top,headliner and padding . Please email me after auction for what color top you would like either black or white . I perfer white but they both look nice. The headliner will also be white . I have not detailed the motor because I have taken it back to the body shop to have it cleaned and polished and ready for the new buyer. If you want the engine detailed I will do it for free once back from the shop. I would like to make one more note . If I did not make it clear before when I said the paint was new, I did not mean 6 months ago ,6 weeks ago I am meaning 6 DAYS ago. It is not show perfect but is a nice paint shiny paint job.
