I am selling a couple of my toys: here's one of my personal favorites! VEHICLE DESCRIPTION 1980 Merzedes Benz 450 SL Roadster. AMG/ZENDER body kit. Was available in Germany and very wanted. 2-seater, automatic transmission, red with cognac (= tan) leather interior. Clean title car. CA registered and tagged through 11/2010. Personal plates will stay with seller. 46,900 miles. Runs absolutely awesome. She may sit for a month, then starts up immediately, smooth and round. The A/T shifts smooth and w/out any issues. Got both, hard top and soft top. Soft top (cognac/tan) in very good shape. Real 2-seater with incredible power. Rear wheel drive. ENGINE V8 Cyl. 4.5 Liter DOHC turbine. Very low mileage, runs excellent, needless to say. Runs smooth and cool. No leaks, no smoke. Fully serviced. New NGK spark plugs, spark plug wire set, alternator, fuel pump, fuel pump relay, brakes, center support assy. AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION Perfect shifting up and down, nice kick-down. No leaks. RWD. A/T service in 12/2009. FEATURES automatic transmission, AMG/ZENDER package, pwr/windows, pwr/locks, cruise control, pwr/steering, OEM premium MB alloy wheels with brand new tires, disc brakes all around, privacy glass (OEM), air/conditioning, armrest with console, 3rd brake light, hard top, NARDI steering wheel, fanfare, original key, floormats (OEM), real 2-seater (you + passenger can use the carpool lane!), fog lamps, chrome mirrors (OEM) MECHANICAL Suspension is tight and comfortable. Disc brakes all around, new brake pads front/rear. Tires are new : 205/70r14. New spark plugs and wires, fuel pump and fuel pump relay, brakes and rotors, alternator. Transmission has been fully serviced 9 months ago! A/C does not work. INTERIOR Clean for the age, better than average! No rips, not beaten up. But definitely needs a bit of TLC and thorough cleaning, this baby is basically just sitting around... EXTERIOR No major dents at all, however, overall rough: needs complete paint job and body work due to areas of RUST (floors, trunk, rear left upper end, you can see it in the pictures!). But again, with the mechanical condition, the maintenance and the low mileage this Benz is definitely worth every penny that you put into her. SUMMARY Awesome bang for the buck (low reserve), low mileage, full maintenance, nicely restorable (body-work and paint only), nice red/tan color combination, .
