Vehicle Detail

I have three bikes I am going to sell a 1975 CT90 Honda (825miles), a 1976 BMW R75/6 (26000miles), and this 1978 Moto Guzzi 850 T FB (5300 miles)(sold). I always wanted a BMW R75 or something like that. I have owned four BMWs. So I bought this one from a shop in southern Michigan and they told me it came from a collection that was in an estate sale somewhere near there. I have owned it for over 2 years. When I first rode it the carbs seemed a little jittery above 50mph but the more I rode it the better it got. So now it seems OK. I think it just needed riding as all BMWs do. I am not a fast rider so I can’t tell you want it does at 70mph+. I like back roads to enjoy. I have developed a hip problem so this bike is very hard to get on for me. It is a 1976 BMW R75/6. That would mean it is a 750cc engine. It is a rider not a show bike. I’m not a cleaner, I like to ride. As far as I know the bike is bone stock with 28430+ miles. We are still riding it. I have just put a new battery in it and had a friend ride it about 10 miles. He said it ran fine. He would purchase if he had the money. All gages, lights, and switches work as they should. With one minor issue on the ignition switch. (See detail on that issue below). The seat has no tears or cuts. It is very good shape. The tires are new. I put them both on when I bought the bike. The pictures show the nubs still on the tires. Both petcocks are new. The shop I bought it from put one on and I put the other one on. No rust in the tank as far as I can see. The grips are new. I put them on. The mirrors are new. I put them on. The mufflers look like new. I believe the shop I bought it from put them on but I am not sure of that fact. The chrome looks like new. It has a tool kit and a tool tray. I bought the tray from a BMW parts house. It has an extra tall back rest that I will include with the bike. The seat grab rail I bought off eBay. There are no dents in the tank or fenders or rims or side cases or any where. There is a small smudge on the front fender and the back fender looks like someone tried to repaint it and re-stripe it. Not a very good job. Also there is a small scratch on the rear of the tank. I have tried to include pictures of all these flaws. It has the original owner’s manual. Picture included. I do have a clear Illinois title. The only thing that seems a little off is the ignition switch. It works fine but it should be two clicks to reach the on position and with this ignition switch it is only one click. I checked with some guys on BMW Owners site and it seems someone must have moved a wire on the back of the switch to make the on position the first click. When I moved the wires to the proper positions that they should be the switch would not work on the second click. So I put them back to where it does work. I believe the only problem that causes is that the bike has no “parking” position on the ignition switch. Therefore; if you ever wanted to use parking lights it would not have them. No big deal as I have never used parking lights on a motorcycle and I don’t know anyone that has. The fork lock has no key. And I have the seat lock out of the bike to try to get a key that will work. But the seat still has a button to push to unlock it. It does ***not*** have a fairing or saddle bags. If you would like to have a fairing I have some extra ones and I could be encouraged to sell one. You can have a pick of a couple for $75. Not sure they fit I have never had them on the bike. I have included many pictures but if you want more I may have one already or I will take a picture of what part of the bike you desire. Payment is $500 PayPal within the first 24 hours after auction close and the remainder within 7 days of auction close. After all payments clear you can have the bike. No feedback buyers must email me through Ebay before bidding. I won’t tell the reserve so don’t ask. No joy rides. You give me the cash and then ride the bike. I live in Central Illinois about 7 miles from Peoria. If you want to look at it email me through eBay. Shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer. I will take it somewhere within 10 miles to a shipper if they like. I will **not** crate. Ask any questions you want. I always try to be honest. I don’t like to sell something then have the buyer come back later and say “why did you not tell me this or that about the item”. At that point I like to honestly say “I didn’t know it”.
