Vehicle Detail
1967 Plymouth Fury III convertible. The odometer reads 18,384 but I do not know how many times it may have rolled over. I do know that it has had zero miles put on it since I bought it. 318 column-shift automatic. Power steering, factory a/c, 8¾ open rear, 4-wheel drums w/o power assist. Has rust where a convertible usually has rust, especially the rear floor. The front floor is probably useable as is the trunk (both have some small holes), but that's your call. The rockers and rear quarters need attention as well. I do not know top-bow terminology, but the third bow (if you count the front main bow as "one") put a hole in the cover and the resultant leak rotted the bow in two. The deck lid is completely rusted apart at the bottom edge below the tail lights, but I will take that lid off and replace with the Fury II lid in the pix. It was painted with a brush so looks bad, but is in good shape and is solid. The trunk-mounted F3 tail lights, trim and lock will go with the car and I will cut a piece from the F3 lid so you can cut the holes for the F3 lights in the F2 lid if you want to put the F3 lights and trim back on. The top mechanism operated, but struggled, the last time I tried it several years ago. The previous owner assures me the engine runs but I have never attempted to start it. I have known the guy for years and if he says it runs, it runs, but no promises. You have to work hard to kill a Mopar 318 - change the oil, prime the pump, rebuild the carb, clean and set the points and it should run. No transmission, alternator, master cylinder, air cleaner lid, radiator cap or power steering cap. May be other bits and pieces I can't think of, but it is essentially all there. The right side hub caps are correct, the left sides are '73s. If I have and can locate the other '67 caps I will put them on. The driver’s side interior door panel is shot but I will send it along with a set of red door panels that are in decent shape. The right rear interior panel is rough but Just Dashes can rebuild all of these in whatever color you want. The front bench seat is out of a ’70 or ’71 Fury – looks out of place style-wise but bolts right in. The original seat was gone when I bought the car. The paint is 30' gray Imron, the interior is/was light blue.I have had the car for 15 years, but am having to throw in the towel on thinking I will ever get around to restoring it.
