1981 Honda CR

I have for sale a 1981 cr450r Elsinore that is complete I got the bike three years ago and rode it for about three months. The bike is super fast and a blast to ride. The cr450r Elsinore was only made for two years and was Hondas first production “open class” MX bike. Making the bike a rare one to find. Once I learned about the bike I decided to park it and began to restore it. The fuel tank has been sanded and recoated with plastic renew. I was able to find a site on the net that remade the tank decals and side number plate decals as well. The tank decals have bubbled up so I recently reordered them so that if one wanted they could replace them. The front forks have been rebuilt and polished had the fork boots are in great shape and have been cleaned up and put back on as well. The triple tree has been polished and the upper part has been primed and repainted gloss black. The handle bars have been repainted gun metal gray and the handle bar grips have been replaced with new Scott grips the throttle plastic piece was dropped when the bars got moved so it will need replaced. The levers are original after market sun shine red plastic levers. Both front and rear brake drums have been primed and repainted gloss black and the brake shoes are like new. The front and rear tires are new. Many of the bolts and nuts have been polished. The frame has been striped primed and painted with Honda red paint. I have both front and rear finders that are brand new from mier racing that are still in the bags I also have the side number plate decals that come with it and also brand new clutch plates that are still in the bag. I have an original manual that goes with the bike too. The seat is in great condition as well as front and side number plates. If you have any questions please call 319-431-7138
