Vehicle Detail
Up for your auction is a 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible. I aquired this car awhile ago in a trade and don't know too much history on the vehicle and it has sat for some time now. I'll try to best describe the car the best way that I can, so everyone has a general idea about the car. This is one project that I will not have time to get into, and does not interest me at this time. This is a V8 car, not sure is it's a 289 or 302, never been a Ford guy so I don't know how you tell the difference on the Mustangs. The car itself seems pretty solid as far as I can tell. The frame, frame rails, floors, trunk, quarters, and fenders seem to be pretty solid. There is surface rust in the trunk pan, but nothing penetrating the metal as far as I can tell. The car does start and run and sounds pretty good. This is a 4 way drum brake car, although I think it has power steering. Not too many options that I can see, but like I said i've never owned one in the past so I wouldn't know what kind of options these cars came with. The paint on the car is a good 5-10 footer and looks like it may need a wet sand or buff to clean it up, due to the orange peel I can see in the paint. The interior is decent, nothing spectacular but is all there and looks original, or close to it. It will definately need a new top. This is a power top car, and the motor and lines are in the trunk, but I have no idea if they work or not. I would definately consider this a "project vehicle" in my opinion and nothing more, and is one that needs some work and time to be considered a nice driver. The only thing I can really say about the car is that, it seems to be a near complete car for what it is. This next section is very important, so please make sure you read the entire ad. When I recieved the car, I didn't recieve any paperwork on it. The only thing I can supply on this vehicle is a "Bill Of Sale". Please know that, so it saves us both some time in this auction. I don't want any mis-understanding, or the buyer saying "he didn't tell me that". Again the only paperwork on this car is a "Bill Of Sale". Please, if you are a out of state buyer make sure and check with your state DMV that this is not a problem for you, as each state has different policies on this matter. Again, this to me is considered a project running vehicle, so please don't assume that you're getting a driver ready conditioned vehicle upon purchase. The car will have to be gone through as would any project you buy. The winning bidder must submit a $500 non-refundable deposit via Paypal no later then 24 hours after the end of the auction. The remaining balance must be paid in full, no later then 7 days after the completion of the auction. The winning bidder is also responsible for all shipping costs, and arrangments on shipping. I will assist you the best way I can to ensure that the car is loaded onto the transport with no problems. Thanks for your time, and good luck!!
