Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1979 Ford Thunderbird, Heritage Edition, powered by a 5.8L, 351 cubic inch, V-8 Windsor engine. This rare find has only 53k miles and has been kept in very good shape considering its age. It is optioned out with "Heritage" package which includes the white split vinyl roof, color-keyed cast aluminum wheels, color-keyed grille, color-keyed front & rear bumper rub strips and hand-stitched leather instrument panel pad/dash (in perfect condition). It also features power steering, power brakes, power windows, AM/FM radio (& 8-track player) and 6-way power driver's seat. The engine starts/runs fine... I enjoy taking it out cruising every couple of days. The exterior is the "Heritage" exclusive baby blue with white vinyl roof and chrome bumpers/trim. The body has been lightly speckled with some small rust spots over the years, the largest of which are no larger than a few millimeters and can easily be cured with some rust treatment and a paint job. Overall the exterior is in very good shape. The interior features the original blue ultra-soft leather seats, color-keyed carpeting, wood-tone instrument panel with sports instrumentation cluster. There is some wear to the driver and passenger seats, although I would consider it less than normal, considering the car's age. The back bucket seat is in very good condition with very minor stitching split at the top center. I purchased this vehicle as a project car, as it needs very little to be restored and in show-car condition. I loath the idea of selling it, but with a five month old baby, I have found that I have neither the time or the money to invest at the moment. I'd love to believe that whoever purchases this classic will be able to bring out it's real potential. As I've described, it needs a few things here and there, but you'll only come around an opportunity like this every so often... If you have the time and a little capital to invest, please place a bid. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask. Happy bidding!
