Here we have a nice 1959 Ford Galaxie for sale. This car is in great shape! I will start with the motor. It has the straight six still in it and it runs great! It cranks up very easily in the mornings or after a few days of sitting no problem. Is full of antifreeze and a fresh oil change. Car has new ignition on it. Motor runs like a top, absolutely no problems at all. It has the 3 speed on the column transmission that shifts great! The arms need some more grease on them as sometimes it takes a little jiggling of the gear shift to get it to drop back for 2nd and 3rd.This car goes down the road just great. None of the gauges except the spedo work. Car runs 65 no problem. I drive this car everywhere. Would not be afraid to go anywhere in it at all. The windshield wipers do not work though, so it needs to be dry! All of the headlights, tail lights and blinkers work as well as dash lights. Only lights not working are brake lights. The interior of the car needs totally redone. It has no headliner and only one door panel. It is missing all of the little things that go in the dash like radio deletes or radio and all of that. Also is missing the handles and knobs on the back doors. It has no carpet and the seats are torn up. I have seat covers on them that work great. Seats are still comfortable. This car is solid as a rock. The floor pans and trunk pan are as solid as they can be. All of the glass is good with the passenger side front being cracked. The little vent class has some bubbling. Now for the exterior. The outside of this car is solid as it can be also. The passenger side fender has some bubbles on the bottom as I tried to picture. Other than that it is solid. No rust through anywhere I can find. It does not have any of the side trim or the trunk trim. It is also missing a piece of trim under the Passenger side headlight. All of the trim that is still on the car is in pretty good shape with only some pitting. The front bumper is pretty shiny but has some pitting and the back bumper has a lot more rust and pitting as i tried to picture. The door handles have a lot of pitting as well. The paint on this car looks great from a distance but it is not all that great. The bottom blue is pretty good and newer actually. But one side the doors are a little different shade. The dark blue is old pant and has some surface rust coming through and doesn't look good. The white has a lot of surface rust coming through as well. It has nice aluminum wheels with almost new tires on it. Also this car runs off of its own gas tank. No trash in the tank. Has brand new exhaust, pipe and all. Exhaust exits right in front of the drivers side tire. If you just want a car you can jump in and drive anywhere this is the car for you! You don't have to do a single thing to this car to drive it as is. I get a lot of compliments and cruise ins the way it sits. However with a little work this car would be a very sharp car. A paint job, some interior recovering and to get some trim or fill in holes and this car would just be stunning. A very very solid car to restore. Car is available for inspection anytime on highway 72 just outside of Florence, AL in killen 35645. I have tried to tell everything I know about the car. It is being sold As Is with no warranties. Alabama does not title cars this old but I can give you a bill of Sale and that will get you a tag. Buyer is responsible for pickup. This car doesn't have to be trailered home, but if that's what you want to do, then bring a trailer.Deposit of 500$ to be made 24hrs at auctions end.
