2002 Ford Excursion Limited like no other. I listed the color as other is is actually a Khaki color. We are the second owners of this vehicle and purchased it from a local Ford dealership were all regular 3k mile oil changes were preformed religiously. This vehicle was used for long distance family travel and every maintenance requirement has been addressed with no costs spared. A known problem for Excursions is warping of the brake rotors when breaking at highway speeds. I have replaced all four rotors with premium drilled and slotted rotors and oem pads.This solves that problem and will give you many years of reliable service. Another common problem found is the automatic locking hubs for the 4x4 system. The hubs are known to stick in the locked position resulting in poor fuel economy, or stick in the free position leaaving you stuck when 4x4 is needed. I have replaced the automatic hubs with stainless steel manual locking hubs assuring you economy and reliabilty when needed. In fall of 2009 front hub assemblies were replaced as well as rear drive shaft u joints. A custom modified 2005 and newer F350 grille was purchased giving this truck a newer look without the horrible 6.0 engine. The factory shock absorbers were replaced with Bilstein shocks along with the Air Ride suspension added give this truck a much smoother ride than factory. The Air Ride system has an on board compressor and controller allowing you to tune the suspension anytime.The truck currently has airbags on the front suspension only but the compressor and controller are capable of adding rear airbags as well without modification. We purchased this truck 2 1/2 years ago and immediatly installed a Magna Flow stainless steel turbo back exhaust system and a Superchips Tuner which is included. These modifications allow highway cruising above speeds of 70 mph while obtaining 22 + mpg. Upgrades to this truck were done to increase economy and reliability not to go fast. As seen in the photos the truck has been tastfully pinstripped by hand with no stickers. This tuck is an exceptional cosmetic and mechanical shape. These features compliment the long list of luxury ammenities found on all Limited models. The truck also has a factory tv/dvd player and 6 disc in dash cd player. The tv/dvd has no headphones we always played it through the factory radio. However you can plug in headphones to the rear jacks and still beable to listen to the radio seperately. Th truck has ice cold air conditioning just serviced Spring 2010. The truck is set up with an electric brake controller. Also included are Extreme carpet floor liners for first, second, third, and cargo. while they arent the prettiest to look, they do an excellent job at protecting the carpets.
