1982 BMW R-Series

The BMW R65LS was designed by Hans Muth, whom I understand also designed the R100RS. This is a very nice 1982 BMW R65LS with only 23,838 miles. This bike is silver in color ( original paint ) with Dunlop / Arrowmax tires and a newer Yuasa battery. There are no tears in the seat and the paint is in great shape. I have the original owners manual and all keys. All gauges, lights and switches are in good working order. I have always kept the bike stored indoors and covered. The bike has current Texas license plates. This bike starts right up and runs and shifts good. I have owned this bike a little over 4 years and bought it from a BMWMOA member. There is a small crack, about 2 inches long, in the faring, which I have been told is pretty common. I attempted to show this in the photos. The bike has a few small rock chips as you would expect. I don't know exactly how to rate this motorcycle, however, on a scale of 1-10 I would place this bike at a strong 8.5. This motorcycle is not perfect but I've not seen a better one.
