Here is a beautiful 1968 fiat spider convertiblethis is a 1 owner very well cared for spider ! further in this add i will explain the history of the spiders life in Colorado at first the drivetrain on this spider was completely rebuilt the engine runs and drives great with everything in perfect working order driving this spider feels great and whole lot of fun watching it drive on the street is even funner with my experience driving this spider people always want to talk about and complement you all the time the body has never been in any type of accident all original and 100% rust free the original body's color was white and was repainted red about 20 years ago the shiny red paint still shines with a beautiful gloss the interior is in excellent condition no rips tears or scuffs or cracks all the black leather looks like new always cared for and maintained the convertible top looks like new it was redone in the pass it goes up and down with just a few easy steps everything works perfect all lights all switches all mechanical the interior dashpad does have 1 crack only ( shown in pic ) i will include an original FIAT radio some manuals and a few extra parts all the chrome was redone and shines really bright back in the 1980's the fiat spider was taken apart and put back together with much love by my grandfather everything that was placed back together was new or clean brushed and wiped clean the cigarette lighter works and the ring light around it this fiat spider is 100% bondo and rust free This fiat can be seen and inspected any time by appointment during this auction only 720 319-9600 my name is Gina or my husband Chris this is a must sell so please serious bidders only ALL EBAY'ERS WITH ZERO OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK MUST CONTACT ME FIRST HISTORY : FIAT introduced the sporty two-seater 850 Spider in 1965. This Spider had the 843 cc engine tuned to produce 49 hp which allowed it to reach a top speed of 90 mph. The body was designed and built by Bertone. The folding convertible top stows away completely under the rear tonneau lid flap. The Bertone design also featured smooth, essential lines and simple yet elegant details, such as the headlamps tilted to follow the lines of the wings, and the dihedral side panels inspired by Bertone's 1963 Corvair Testudo. FIAT has always been known for its combining of power and economy. The 850 model has a zippy, high revving motor that can get almost 50 miles per gallon! The Bertone design also featured smooth, essential lines and simple yet elegant details, such as the headlamps tilted to follow the lines of the wings, and the dihedral side panels inspired by Bertone's 1963 Corvair Testudo. This engine ran counterclockwise, a unique feature compared to other engines. n 1968, Fiat revised the successful Spider and Coupé again and gave them an even stronger engine with 903 cc and 52 hp (39 kW). They were called Sport Spider and Sport Coupé. The Sport Spider body stayed essentially the same, but with a restyled front. The headlamps were set into the wings and the turn indicators were set below the bumpers. The same year saw the launch of several special versions of the Spider: the vinyl-clad metal-roofed Racer, and the Berlinetta, a convertible with a removable hard-top.
