Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1979 400/ 4 speed, 10th Anniversary Edition Trans Am with ~106,000 on the odometer. Being 1 of the 1817 10th Anniversary TA’s it has the usual AC, PW, PL, WS6 4 wheel disc breaks. Car is very solid with no rust and in an un-restored condition. I have owned the car since 1998; I am the 3rd owner and drove it on week ends / special events until ~ 2008. Since then the car has been stored in the garage and started every couple of weeks to keep the battery up. Quick overview: Body: Damage to the right rear quarter panel where car was side swiped in front of the mother in laws house. SUV that hit it was doing roughly 20 miles an hour. The tire & rim where not hit. Couple of door dings but no other collision damages other that what is stated above. Paint has faded and the car could use a nice paint job. All panels are original to the car. Right front fender was repainted by original owner (according to second owner) Rust free car Engine ’74 455 block, crank & rods ( balanced at APW in Irving) TRW +0.030’ forged TRW pistons High Volume oil pump and Milodon low profile oil pan (#30355) Mild Crower cam shaft (job # 60243 / 284HDP) Mildly ported 7k3 heads modified for both end exhaust bolts Crower spring kit Ferrea stainless steel valves Comp Cams roller tip rocker arms (1451-16) ARP main 7 rocker studs Eldelbrock performer manifold with EGR provisions (2156) Cliff’s high Performance rebuilt carb & curved distributor for combo RAM Air Restorations reproduction RA Exhaust manifolds Motor was built in 99 and has ~ 8,000 miles on it. Idle has a slight lope but is mild enough to run with AC but must be run on 92+ octane fuel. Original motor was replaced due to local oil change place “forgetting “to put oil in after they changed it. They added oil but the damage had already been done (wrist pin seized month later) Clutch / transmission Original Super T10 CenterForce clutch Speedometer works when it wants to, odometer reads ~105,700. I would guess 110,000 is more accurate. Suspension Poly urethane sub-frame bushing Competition Engineering Bolt in sub frame connectors KYB shock on all 4 corners Rebuilt front / ear calipers Interior No cracks in dash Original shag carpet in good condition Original console ok Door panels are original and show some wear. Ok for a driver. Door pulls in good shape & not broken T-tops in great shape (tabs to attach to center of roof are still intact. Left plastic trim piece is missing) Seats recovered by local shop in 2002. I have listed everything that comes to mind concerning the car but I am sure that I have missed something. Feel free to ask any questions. The car is not currently tagged & inspected. I do not know of any reason the car could not be driven home, but it has been sitting for ~ 2 years. Please ask all questions before bidding. Bidders with less than 5 feed back, please email prior to bidding. Car is available for viewing. $500 non-refundable deposit is due at close of auction via PayPal (unless prior arrangements have been made). If PayPal is used for the balance, buyer is responsible for any additional charges. Cash or cashier’s check are preferred (Vehicle will not leave me possession until all funds have cleared). Car is also for sale locally, so the right to end auction early is reserved. Thanks for looking…
