Vehicle Detail

Car is clean and original. Relatively rare 6-speed manual WITH factory navigation system. I have maintained it with full synthetic oils (engine and transmission - including the "angle" or bevel gear). I am the second owner. Car originally was purchased in northern Californina (Berkeley). The leather seats have been treated with connoly leather cream that I get at the local Jaguar dealership. I've used this on all my cars with leather and it keeps them looking near new for many years (including my last car, an Audi that went 325k miles). The only parts that have required replacement since I purchased it our the rear wheel bearings. They are known for wearing out every 60k miles or so and are probably the only part that fails earlier than normally on these cars. I also replaced the transmission torque mount and engine stabilizer bushings pro-actively with a heavy duty polyurethane bushing. They improve shifting (although it was pretty good originally) at the cost of slightly more perceptible engine vibration. Items that new owner may want to address (although not required):1. The tires will need to be replaced very soon. It has the optional 18" rims. I like the Continental Extreme Contacts on this car and have heard good things about the latest iteration of that tire - the DWS. 2. When driven in heavy rain the exhaust system warps very slight and the resonator contacts the drive shaft causing a squeal. This is a known issue and there is a Volvo fix for it (I believe they install a bracket of some kind) or you can simply have a muffler shop remove the resonator and replace with a straight pipe. Either fix is simple and very inexpensive. It happens so infrequently I always forget to address it between incidents.3. Rear bumper has a small spot where paint is missing (not noticeable from 10 ft. away). I bumped into a concrete barrier while backing into a parking spot. Probably best to just repaint the whole bumper (I was quoted $450.00 by a body shop). I did use the car very infrequently to pull a small utility trailer with a 160 lbs. sprint kart to the track 20 miles away. The entire trailer with kart weighs less than 1,000 lbs. for 500 total miles or less. I can leave the hitch or remove it - buyers choice. As for salt, I live half a mile from a high pressure, do it yourself, car wash. I washed the care thoroughly, top and bottom, many times each week during the winter. Rarely was this car parked overnight with any salt on it (I can't stand rust anywhere, even under the car). Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Its a great car.
