Vintage 1955 Ford Thunderbird Red Beauty 3-Speed Overdrive & Rare Continental Kit You are bidding on a vintage 1955 Ford Thunderbird. This vehicle was purchased at an estate sale and belonged to the same owner for the past 30 years in California. It was once restored to a candy-apple red exterior color with white leather interior. The original color is black (color and trim code from the VIN plate is shown in a photo below). This Thunderbird has a 3-Speed Transmission with Overdrive, and the engine is in excellent condition for a vintage vehicle. It is not a fully-restored show car, but it as a well-maintained driver. There are no rust damages on this vehicle. There are paint chips and scratches on this vehicle, but no other major body or frame damages. Again, this is a 55-year-old piece of history, not a Barrett-Jackson merchandise. The interesting options on this vehicle are the Continental Kit, Chromed Spoke Wire Wheels, Power Steering, Power Seats. Although it does not have Power Brakes, this is a simple and inexpensive option to add, unlike Power Steering, which is an option that came with the car. The hoses and battery have already been updated/replaced. This vehicle would be great for someone who loves Ford Thunderbird’s from the 1955-1957 era, and it could be restored again for those enthusiasts. This is a high-quality, non-rust, original vehicle.
