These auctions cost money and I don't have time to start chasing you. Thank you and good luck. ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A GREAT LOOKING 1973 CHEVY CORVETTE STINGRAY CONVERTIBLE THAT HAS BEEN LIGHTLY CUSTOMIZED WITH 1980-82 LOOK AND SOME MILD RESTOMOD STYLE OPTIONS. VERY SHARP CRUISER WITH 66K MILES ON THE ODOMETER (BELIEVED TO BE ACTUAL) THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. FACTORY OPTIONS: Manual steering Manual DISC brakes Manual convertible top Tilt/telescoping steering column Standard black bucket seat interior 15" Rally wheels with white letter radial tires UPGRADED sidepipes CUSTOM 1980-82 front and rear end Automatic transmission Vehicle comes from the midwest where it has been lovingly restomodded in the previous owner's spare time during the last handful of years. The car itself is a FACTORY CONVERTIBLE 1973 model that at one time had been retrofitted with 1980-82 front and rear end (don't ask me why, as I didn't do the work and neither did the previous owner). Since there were basically NO convertibles manufactured by GM during 1976-82, this car was to be what GM never made, an 80-82 body style Corvette Convertible, which is actually a very attractive car. It was painted a few years ago before the owner got it, and had some work done here and there. The previous owner went ahead and took care of the mechanics of the car by having the motor gone over, tranny freshened up, brakes overhauled, suspension tweaked and serviced, wheels/tires and some other tweaks here and there. When I got it, I had my shop put on a convertible top, we installed the factory headlight buckets and did some minor tuning and detailing work here and there as needed. Right now the car is definitely a VERY SHARP EYECATCHER and you CAN'T MISS IT DOWN THE STREET Interior is in GOOD/VERY GOOD condition with only very minor general wear here and there. Seats have minor wear and show very well (missing plastic seat backs). Door panels have some wear but are presentable (missing left inner door pull), carpet is old but still presentable, dash pad is in good shape. Convertible top also is very clean and nearly new with nice and clear back window. Overall a beautifully presentable driver quality interior! Under the hood lies a stock late 60s/early 70s coded small block motor with a few bolt-on performance options such as headers, aluminum intake manifold, Holley double-pumper 4bbl. carburetor, aluminum radiator w/electric fan, sidepipes and some minor internal motor modifications. Starts easily and sounds great. Good stock power overall and brakes stop WELL. Nice and solid throughout. Steering is a bit loose with some play in the wheel and could use some tightening or steering box rebuild. Very fun to drive and you can hop in and drive it right now with minor tlc. I've driven it mostly around town here and there and every once in a while on the highway on the way to a cruise night or local show, never on any long trips, so before you take the car out for a long drive I would recommend having it gone through to be safe and work out all the little bugs. Underside seems to have a SOLID FRAME throughout, solid birdcage, good floorboards and even a decent radiator support, so no big eye sores anywhere I was able to see from down there. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up WELL with good luster for a nice driver (NOT a showcar). It has metal flake in it, so it's very shiny when the sun hits it. I had my shop buff it out so it looks good. Sidepipes need small collector pipes to connect to the headers as right now it's running open headers and is a bit loud. Missing: spare/carrier/jack, front nose emblem, fan shroud, front valence center piece under bumper, sunvisors. Not working: headlights (need vacuum system connected), wipers (I have them, yet to be installed), couple of gauges may not be hooked up yet, a couple of bulbs may need replacing, signals, horn. Runs a bit hot in heavy traffic, even with electric fan so it could use a standard fan installed along with the electric one for more cooling. Couple of small leaks underneath as you would expect with any 40+ year old car. That's about all I was able to notice from my inspection. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. OVERALL IT'S A VERY COOL CRUISER THAT COULD EASILY BE A DAILY DRIVER OR CRUISE NIGHT CAR WITH MINOR TLC. HOP IN AND DRIVE IT WITH THE TOP DOWN AFTER YOU TINKER WITH IT AND ENJOY THE WEATHER. THIS IS A UNIQUE LOKING 1973 CORVETTE STINGRAY CONVERTIBLE WITH 66K MILES (BELIEVED TO BE ACTUAL) THAT YOU CAN ENJOY WITH THE TOP DOWN OR KEEP AS PART OF YOUR CLASSIC CRUISER COLLECTION AFTER YOU DO SOME TLC AND MAKE IT YOUR OWN!. Contact me at (917) 749-4302 cell or e-mail MBOTERASHV@AOL.COM. Auction may be stopped at any time.
