Moving August 20th, have 6 cars.... 3 registered/insured & 3 'projects'. THIS IS ONE OF THE PROJECTS >> 1995 MERCEDES S500 I believe it's worth more as a parts car than it is as a whole but I lack the ability and the space to part it out (especially now w/ the move) When I got it last year it ran and drove, but was slipping in Reverse. Now, reverse is completely gone. I don't know where the dipstick is to check the fluid and found out it doesn't have one, so my guess is there's a possibility it might just be low. Plus now it needs fresh gasoline, it's been sitting in a storage facility for just over a year w/ just under a quarter tank of fuel. It does run, and you can drive it onto a trailer if needed (and recommended). SOME OTHER WORK NEEDED >>> The front seat are shot, needs covers or something, the back ones are OK . Left tail light is cracked, passes our PA inspection, but just the same. The passenger rear door got side-swiped in a parking lot, no damage above the moulding ( I actually have a good moulding and the quarter moulding you see missing in the pics). The power door locks don't work. Driver mirror has the clear coat peeling off the top half. BASICALLY, the paint is decent for a car this age, it would just take some time and patience for someone interested in this type of car to fix it up for a driver, or like I said is worth a BUNDLE as a parts car!! ..... just look up 'Mercedes S500' in parts and accessories and see. The previous owner replaced the headlight lenses as a plus. I've got the code for the radio w/ most of the paperwork/owners manuals.
