Up for auction is a 1996 Mercedes Benz E300 diesel with 133,600 actual miles. These are very hard to find and get outstanding gas mileage. I have recently driven it from Indiana to Kentucky and back and it is one great highway sled. It is black with grey MB tex interior. Power seats both sides with memory, factory head unit with tape plus factory trunk mounted 6 disc cd changer. Power windows/locks/keyless entry, cold factory air conditioning, and automatic transmission. Condition: This car is in good condition and drives out perfect, everything works properly, the transmission shifts smoothly, the engine sounds and runs perfect. The wheels are in good condition, the interior is nearly as new (see the many photos), the seats are perfect and have no sign of wear (you know how good MB tex stands up), no cracks in the dash. Also, we have just installed a new battery. Picks:The exterior of the car has some marks on it, I have taken a couple of photos to note (one shows a scratched area on one of the door moldings, the other shows a indentation on the rear bumper). The front bumper has a scrape on the edge, the rear might have one. For the age of this car, I’d say it is in great condition and you will be pleased. As noted before, the interior still looks nearly new save for the upper part of the steering wheel (it has dried out a bit over the years). The tires have about 20% tread remaining, this would be the only thing you need to take care of in the near future.
