Vehicle Detail

A True Original "Time Capsule" This is a truly rare find! This 1967 GTX is a true survivor car. It is a completely original, numbers matching, untouched, never restored classic MOPAR in great condition. It is a one owner car, the title is still in the original owner's name and marked new. It only has 15,498 original miles. This car has been extremely well maintained. Everything works and it runs and sounds great. This car was manufactured in St.Louis, MO. and shipped on Sept. 13, 1966 to Buckhead Chrysler-Plymouth in Atlanta, Georgia, and purchased by an employee on Oct. 8, 1966 for his wife. The exterior is in excellent shape and rust free. It has the original factory paint "Turbine Bronze metalic", still in very good condition. It also has the original black vinyl top, dual scoops on the hood, chromed dual exhausts, pit-stop gas cap, bolt-on wheel covers, and red streak tires. It has a tinted front windshield, and all glass is good. The bumpers, emblems, lights, trim, etc.. are all in great shape. The interior is very nice as well, black vinyl with stamped designs. The only problems are the passenger's side front seat ( seam coming apart at right shoulder) and driver's side front seat ( torn at the left shoulder), both areas are pictured. There are seat covers that come with the car, not pictured. It has the shifter in the console, working AM radio, a cigar lighter, and backseat armrests with ashtrays. Under the hood is the original powerhouse, a 440 ci Super Commando V8 (375 hp, 480 lbs ft torque). This engine has never been out of this car. It runs and sounds great. It has the 3 speed Torqueflite automatic transmission. It has the heavy duty police suspension pkg. with 11 inch heavy duty brakes, Power steering and Power brakes. It has the original electrical wires, including the original wiring clips. The original fender tag/ data tag is still intact. The original Vin plate and tire pressure information sticker are still on the door jams. Also, amazingly it still has the original radiator coolant notice/warning decal. It still has a 1982 Georgia vehicle safety inspection sticker on the windshield. The original hood mat is still in place, as well as the certicard holder with original certicard. This car's undercarriage was factory undercoated, and is still in really good condition. The trunk is solid, and still has the original trunk mat, the original jack, and the jack operating instructions attached to the trunk lid. The documentation for this car includes, the original title, the build/broadcast sheet, and the metal tag that followed the car down the production line, to identify this car as having a vinyl top. Also included are the glove-box contents which include, an operating instructions manual, a 1967 Plymouth advertising catalog, the car's certicard and a laminated copy, a couple of maintenance receipts, various State Farm insurance papers, A 1967 Florida Turnpike road map, two unused tickets to Georgia JV vs. Clemson JV football game on 9-27-1982, and A 1965 Shell gasoline Americana game envelope with two game pieces inside. The only parts of this car that is not original, other than the usual tires, battery, wipers, etc.. is the water pump and the fuel tank. Both were replaced by the original owner. The GTX is one of the most collected and sought after MOPAR muscle cars, and this one is an exceptional example of originality and preservation. True survivors are becoming more and more rare, thus they are becoming increasingly valuable. Once the restoration process begins, the car's original character and status is destroyed forever.
