Vehicle Detail
Reason for Selling: It's become impractical for me. I need a4x4 truck, not a small convertible. It runs and drives good overall. Not great, but good. It's not quite as responsive and powerful as it could be, but it is definitely still fun to drive. I hate to sell it, but it can't quite haul enough for me. I've owned the car for almost 3 years, but I don't know the car's history beyond that. I've done/ had some work done that I will try to outline in the following descriptions... Interior: Tan vinyl seats, including back seat, in good condition though they do have few small tears and signs of age. Lower part of door panels replaced with carpet bc orig. ruined by previous owner's speaker installation/removal. Black carpet in floor and black floor mats on both sides. Dash shows only slight waves from sun, but not cracking. Wood Fiat steering wheel and shift knob. Good Jensen CD player. One old speaker in passenger wheel well, disconnected. I connected, just for fun, 5 mismatched computer speakers. They work good, but aren't mounted at all (easily/quickly removed). Radio antenna motor works, but hardware that keeps antenna from extending too far and falling off is missing, so the motor is disconnected. Trunk is clean, but false bottom above tire is a bit worn (insignificantly). Body: Paint is less than 3 years old. Had a small rust spot in the passenger door fixed. 1" crack at passenger side corner of grill. Replaced original top half of grill with one from a 74 model. Rear corner panels are detached because the tabs on them are too damaged to screw them back on, and they need paint once repaired. "FIAT" vinyls on each door. Hurley sticker on rear driver side corner. Front bumper isn't 100% straight. Soft top in great shape, especially for age. I added a bit of weather stipping along the top of the windshield frame to block rain that drips in at highway speeds. Top leaks only a little at driver side, but I think that's more of a weatherstripping issue that I never got around to fixing. Back window completely clear. Velcro at back triangle windows aged and does not cling well when top is up, allows wind in. All glass is in great shape. Minimal rust, if any at all. Tires: All four in great condition. Like new tread. Engine/Mechanical: New spark plugs, starter, oxygen sensor, battery, ignition control module, pick up coil, throttle cable. Had gap in exhaust fixed where it attaches to manifold, replaced studs at connection. New brake hoses, rebuilt rear calipers, new parking brake cable. Heater control valve broken, but I have the replacement. Once replaced, just return coolant hoses to original position. New horn, but connection at slip ring in steering column caused honking when turning the wheel, so I disconnected blk/vlt from relay to get by until slip ring issue troubleshot... Engine bay clean, but there is a small oil leak, not sure where from. The new starter that I recently installed may need some attention. Extra: Repair manual. Electrical diagram book. Both rear corner panels. Metric tire iron. Pair of like-new jack stands (small to fit car). Heater control valve and all needed gaskets, hardware. Pair of extra brake caliper rebuild kits. Extra tan vinyl back seat. Payment and Shipping: $250 non-refundable deposit (by Paypal only) required within 24 hours of winning bid. Contact with me required within 48 hours. Balance due in full within 5 days of winning bid (Paypal only). Title will be given immediately after full payment is made. Only serious bidders, please. I think this is it, but if there's anything else you'd like to know, I encourage you to ask. There's nothing to hide. This is a solid car. Thanks for your interest. Jacob
