I have up for auction my 1987 Mercury Colony Park LS Station Wagon in excellent condition. I purchased this vehicle from the orginal family and I am now the second owner. This car has always been very well maintained and always kept in a covered garage. That is one reason why this vehicle is still in excellent conditon along with required scheduled maintenance and oil changes. This is a true rust free car that has spent all its life since new in Texas. Upholstery has no rips, tears worn spots, no dash cracks etc. Paint is near flawless and I see no evidence of body damage and only a very few rock chips etc. Exterior wood grain is excellent as well as the exterior paint. Engine runs so smooth and quite that is difficult to tell if it is even running or not! I purchased this car for a couple of reasons. I required a vehicle that would be very dependable, had lots of carrying capacity and also a smooth ride. It has all that an more. This is a true 9 passenger station wagon and very comfortable to take on trips. I wanted to make sure that this wagon was road worthy and dependable so I took it to the best mechanic I know with a blank check to tune up the motor and repair, replace and check all its systems. When that task had been completed I then had a brand new set of premium tires installed. Had the Automatic Overdrive Transmission completely rebuilt at a cost of $1800.00, new shocks installed, new brakes,the front end checked out, the air-conditioning system serviced. Only has less than 2000 miles since all work was completed. Believe it or not, I checked the gas mileage and am getting a unbelievable 21.5 miles per gallon on the highway and over 18 miles per gallon in town. Obviously, at that time I had no intentions of ever sell this vehicle as I have over $8000.00 invested. I can assure you that you can fly in and drive this car anywhere without problems. You actually need to see this vehicle in person to appreciate its condition. Sorry, I did not have a chance to wash and detail before takeing the photos so the pictures do not due it justice! By auctions end I will have the vehicle cleaned and detailed. This wagon is a true joy to drive and everything on the vehicle works as it should. Has a excellent Preium Sound System AM-FM cassette radio, floor mats, roof rack, power windows, power tailgate window, reclining seats, power door locks, power steering, power brakes, power seats etc. In other words all the "Bells and Whisles" you would expect on this top of the line Mercury Station Wagon.
