Vehicle Detail
This 1998 Toyota Sienna LE minivan has had much good use this past 6+ yrs. WE had a transmission rebuilt about two yrs ago and it has about 40k on it. The tires are great and have more than half their tread left as seen in photos. The engine has been running a bit rough and I am not sure if it is the plugs or a cylinder situation. It runs smooth after accelerating though and first start of the morning it lets out a puff of smoke and has done this for 5 yrs. We add about 1-2 quarts of oil each month depending on how much we drive it. This van is in average condition over all with dings and scratches here and there, but looks nice when clean and waxed. There is a crunched quarter panel on the drivers side rear corner as seen in photos and a cracked lower part of the back bumper as seen in photos. The aluminum wheels are in good shape and the glass is all intact with no known cracks or chips. The black plastic on the passenger mirror is chipped off on the end, but the mirror itself is fine. power mirrors, windows, locks, steering, wing windows, brakes. AM/FM CD player that works good. The A/C is getting a bit weak and needs charging. Rear air and heat too. The floor/mats have stains on them and I am starting to spot clean them and will add interior photos soon. This van would be great for someone with motor vehicle repair capabilities regarding the engine. This van would also do well to sell the parts. The tranny itself would bring in good money and the rest of the parts including the tires and wheels would also. We purchased several replacement parts on ebay for this van as things were broken or wearing out and they have been great. The van is a 7 passenger with bucket seats in the center and a split bench in the rear. The brakes were replaced a few months back and rotors too in the front. The engine situation is the only questionable thing, and it is not a loud engine, it is very quiet, it just pulsates and has a rumbling feeling when idling and in between the lower shifting when coasting. I am not a mechanic so i can't really expound on it any more than that. It has been good to us for the time we have used it and am sure with some tlc and a grease monkey it would have much life left for someone else. This van has no guarantees, no warranty, and is an "AS IS" vehicle when sold. No refunds, as I have been up front with you and have offered sufficient photos for an honest appraisal of the vehicle. It is well used and will be missed. Good luck in making offers! peace, david :)
