you are bidding on a 1979 VW bus. it has spent its life in california. it has had over $5000 invested in it in the last year and a half. here is what's been done: complete rebuild of motor (less than 5000 miles) rebuilt stater rebuilt steering box rebuilt shifting coupler new fuel pump new airflow meter reconditioned computer new 2 battery system removed and cleaned gas tank new front rubber mat new windshield and rubber seal new pioneer cd/mp3 player new speakers new brakes, rotors, pads new tires including front mounted spare here's what needs attention: there are a couple of tears in the canvas camp top there is some surface rust near the windshield the driver's door panel shows wear some veneer has lifted on the sink cabinet the exterior is clean, but a new paint job would really make it pop. overall, it is a great van that only needs some cosmetic work to be cherry. the interior is very clean and everything works. mechanically, it is very sound. it just came back from a weekend in big sur and ran like a dream. it is a great project to finish as all of the hard stuff is done. please e-mail your phone number if you have any questions, we will get back to you right away.
