NOTE: THE BELOW DESCRIPTION WAS THE ADD WHICH I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE FROM ON 03-05, THE ONLY THING THAT HAS CHANGED IS: I HAD A HEART ATTACK WITH COMPLUCATIONS AND WAS OUT OF ACTION FOR A LITTLE OVER 2 YEARS OF THE 5 YEARS I'VE OWNED THE VEHICLE SO IT WAS DRIVEN VERY LITTLE. I'VE CHANGED OIL/FILTER, POLISH IT, ADDED A DASH COVER, AND DROVE THE CAR ABOUT A 1000 MILES, ALL LOCAL DRIVING WHEN I NEEDED A DRIVING FIX. WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR I HAD IT SHIPPED FROM OKLAHOMA TO OMAHA,NE THEN DROVE IT TO OUR HOME HERE IN BLOOMFIELD NEBRASKA, A 170 MILE TRIP FROM OMAHA. THE REST OF THE DRIVING HAS BEEN DURING THE SUMMER, UNDER 30 MILE TRIPS. IN 2009 I TURNED THE ODOMETER RESET KNOB WHILE DRIVING (YES I KNOW BETTER) AND IT BROKE THE ODOMETER AT 80,677, THE SPEEDOMETER STILL WORKS FINE. I WOULD GUESS I'VE DRIVEN LESS THAN 1000 MILES SINCE THEN, SO THE VEHICLE HAS +/- 81,677 MILES AS NEAR AS I CAN FIGURE. I'VE STARTED IT EVER COUPLE MONTHS AND MOVED IT BACK AND FORTH WARMING THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION. I DISCONECT THE BATTERY DURING (MONTH TO MONTH STORAGE AND WHEN HOOKED BACK UP IT HAS STARTED EVERY TIME WITH NO PROBLEM. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNERS ADD IT HAS BEEN STORED IN THE WINTER AND KEPT UNDER COVER. IT HAS ALSO BEEN GARAGED SINCE I'VE OWNED IT AND NOT DRIVEN IN THE WINTER. WHY AM I SELLING, I DON'T DRIVE IT ENOUGH AND COULD USE THE ROOM FOR ONE OF THE OTHER VEHICLES. IT'S WORTH NOTING THE ORIGNAL WINDOW STICKER PRICE ON A 1986 1/2 PORSCHE WAS ABOUT $54,000, A LOT OF CAR FOR THE MONEY. I'M 70 YEARS YOUNG SO THE VEHICLE HAS HAD A EASY LIFE SO FAR. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ VEHICLE DESCRIPTION FROM PREVIOUS OWNER WHEN I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE IN 2005 This is a low mileage 1986 1/2 928S with rare Prussian Blue metallic color. Only 80k miles. An all aluminum V8 with 32 valves produces a listed 288hp from the factory and with four piston Brembo style brakes, the S4 suspension and ABS this car handles like a dream. This car has never left me stranded and has been very reliable. Some very important maintenance that has been done include water pump, timebelt with complete service of the tensioner , all belts and hoses, transmission fluid and filter change, and brakes at 53k miles. Some recent updates include new nology plug wires, new caps and rotors, stock oem air filter and blue printed fuel injectors. New motormounts, and New Tires- SO3 Brigestone Pole position tires on th rear with only 3k miles on them!. This car sticks to the road like glue and corners unbelievably.. The oil and filters have been changed every 3-4k miles I have records from the previous owner to show the same care and maintenance taken . Garaged by myself and previous owners.. The Porsche offers the driver lots of luxury with lots of standard features such as 4 speed auto with kickdown, ABS brakes with S4 suspension update, Forged alloy rims, power heated leather seating , A/C converted to 134A refrigerant, power mirrors, cruise control and limited slip differential. Alpine 6 speaker cassette/cd changer / remote alarm that was installed correctly and sounds incredible. Everything on this Porsche works! The headlights function properly and go up and down with authority. The cars paint shows well with its age and is original with some paint chips.. No known visible rust or dents that I can see on the body.
