There is some normal wear for a vehicle of this age including minor nicks from rocks on the hood (they've been touched up with factory matching paint from the local VW dealership) and windshield (two stars that have been sealed) and the leather sleeve around the gear shifter is showing some wear. There is an inconspicuous dent on the kick panel below the passenger door. Otherwise, this vehicle is in good condition (interior and exterior) and runs well. It is a TDI turbo diesel that gets excellent fuel mileage (I average 38 mpg city/45 highway) and will make a great commuter car. Inside, the leather seats, carpets, head liner and dashboard are in excellent condition and have been in a smoke-free environment. It has a premium factory stereo with 6 speakers, cassette player, and 6 CD changer in the trunk that really rocks. The Michelin MXV4 S8 tires have 23,712 miles on them with plenty of tread left and the spare is a full size Goodyear Eagle (almost brand new). The tinted windows provide great sun/heat protection and have no scratches or fading. I installed an oil pan heater that can be plugged into a standard outlet when the temperature dips down below freezing to assist with starting. The AC works great and puts out plenty of cold air. It has disc brakes on all four wheels for excellent stopping. I've kept up with all the maintenance, including oil changes every 3,000 - 5,000 miles and have most of the service records.
