Vehicle Detail
Selling a great condition mercedes 300sd, 290k on the car but less on the engine, not sure the exact mileage. california car so no rust! its my daily driver but i'm moving in a few months and will be using a bike as my primary method of transportation. Recent work thats been done: replaced engine tires motor mounts new upper oil cooler line new motor mounts valve adjustment oil filter housing to block gasket all new freeze plugs in the block new zerex g-05 coolant oil change & filter new driver's seat several misc interior parts brakes new power steering pump and fluid rebuilt and balanced the fuel injectors with monark nozzles rated for waste vegetable oil (wvo) use injection pump advanced to more efficiently burn wvo new injection pump gasket external air oil separator from a 240d installed for cleaner air into the intake water injection setup which removes carbon and buildup associated with running wvo pre-egr intake and exhaust manifolds installed, allows for much smoother intake and exhaust air. also provides a port to attach water injection nozzle euro headlights boost gauge modified 2 tank greasecar kit what it needs: i noticed the locks just started acting up. sometimes they work fine and sometimes they won't lock. you can always lock it manually of course lower oil cooler line is slightly seeping oil. not enough that im worried about it but if you care then it should be replaced. i have the part already, just havent installed it a/c compressor belt is gone. after putting in the replacement engine i didnt bother with the belt as i dont care for a/c. it probably just needs a belt and a recharge, havent dug into it at all. ive probably forgot a few details. its got a pioneer head unit with 4 new speakers, and an ipod cord that lets you play an ipod and charge it at the same time. the head unit plays cds and mp3 disks. there is also a centrifuge and a pump in the trunk that will allow you to pick up used oil from restaurants and process it in the trunk, while you drive. thus you can drive across the country without ever having to stop at a gas station or anywhere to plug in the pump to run the centrifuge. it will heat and clean the oil down to 0.5 microns, on the fly. no oily mess in your garage if you want to run grease. you can also run this car on straight diesel or biodiesel. the pump runs off a 2000 watt inverter that also gives you AC power in the car to run a laptop, hair dryer, coffee maker, or whatever else you want. ive taken this car on several road trips and it runs great with plenty of power. the body is straight with no dents and the interior is perfect. no seat rips or tears, nothing missing, nothing broken. of course there are always ups and downs with running wvo and ive had to deal with clogged filters and spills in the trunk but you just have to be picky about the oil you pick up. im not in a hurry to sell this car and have slowly been putting it together over the course of a couple years, so its my baby and i really hate to sell it. about the conversion: there's a greasecar tank in the spare tire well and greasecar valves, and a hose in hose setup with upgraded aluminum fuel line from the tank to the valves. the fuel filter is coolant heated and there is a final insulated flat plate heat exchanger before the fuel goes into the injection pump. its set up on a looped return which loops through the heat exchanger to keep the oil nice and hot. about the pump: 1/2hp electric motor coupled to an oberdorfer n993 gear pump, which spins a 60gph centrifuge. i usually process 5 gallon batches at a time while doing road trips. i let the oil heat up for about an hour and then run the centrifuge for 30 min at 50-60psi. this gives 6 passes which is more than enough to get the oil clean. obviously this only works on long distance road trips; the pump can be plugged in if driving shorter distances. my filters last 2000-3000 miles before they need to be changed. your mileage may vary greatly depending on the quality of the oil you get. i am really picky about the oil i get, and if i cant get decent oil then i will run diesel (or biodiesel, if i can find it). the pump has 2 ball valves on the input side which let me switch from running the centrifuge to using a 30 ft. pool vacuum hose with a 100 micron strainer on the end for picking up the oil from restaurants. ive probably forgot a few things but if you have any questions feel free to ask.
