This 1979 Triumph Spitfire 1500 is rust-free with 48,771 original miles. The Spitfire fires up immediately and while it is not 100% show-ready car it runs and drives great. New tires, new brakes, new front end (bearings, ball joints, and struts). The rear inner axle bearings and seals are new, new rear shocks. New paint and interior carpet. The panels on the dash are in good shape. There are two small line cracks in the vinyl dash. The convertible top has not been on the car since I started driving it. Electric fuel pump has been installed in the trunk. The car has only been driven during summer months on sunny days and is stored in heated garage in the winter. The components for the soft top are in good shape. The vinyl top has seen better days and should be replaced if driving on other than sunny days or winter months. Included is an extra engine (needs rebuild) and transmission with overdrive if the buyer is interested. I also have extra bumpers and convertible top framework if interested. As with many British sports cars the engine leaves its mark when turned off. About a cap of oil, I have replaced the oil pan gasket. The engine does not leak while running. The restoration up to this point has been performed by me. The vehicle was originally purchased by my dad in 1979. I was given the vehicle in 2004.
