Please read ad in it's entirety. Hello VW lovers young and old. Up for auction at NO RESERVE is a 1978 Volkswagen Super Beetle Karmen Edition Convertible that is a lifelong California car that was recently picked up in San Jose ,Ca.This is an original dealer installed Air Conditioned Car , most of the air stuff has been removed but does have correct air dash and most of the lines ,the fan ,evaporator and dryer. These air cars are very hard to find, even if they are not working. This car was extremely well loved and part of the family. I promised the lady I bought it from that I would not sell it to just anybody, so please if you buy this car I ask you not to mistreat it. Ok, back to the car. This has a rebuilt 1600 CC fuel injected motor and has Current California tags good though 2011 and has passed smog. This motor runs strong and is extremely powerful and gets in and out of traffic with ease. I would trust this car with my 16 year old daughter or my 80 year old father . It just simply runs great and that is hard to find in the fuel injected motors. I was told the motor was rebuilt 5,000 miles ago and at that time new fuel pump , fuel filters,fuel injectors and all F I stuff was checked and replaced if they were not working properly. This has new tires with only about 100 miles on them and beautiful chrome rims. This also has a beautiful color combination bright red with white interior . The interior is in good condition but not perfect and there will be plenty of pictures and video for all to see. The convertible top is not new but does not have any leaks but again not new. The headliner is also in good condition but not new no rips or tears that I have noticed. The over all paint is shiny but is aging and has minor imperfections as you would find on a car of this age that has been driven and used. If you are looking for anything more then a daily driver expect to paint the car . I would not do a thing to it and just drive it as it is and I get more looks then a fire truck and have a blast driving it around .You are simply buying fun. I will taking it to the beach tomorrow and adding video of it driving on the sand and making a 80 mile round trip over an 8% grade. This will all be video taped . Please check out all other beetles before bidding and look at my car compared to others and bid accordingly. I think I am extremely fair with my description and not over talking the car and it is sold NO RESERVE no regrets or complaints . You may check out my feedback as this is what I do for a living and not a hobby. I travel all over California from San Diego to Sacramento and all points in between . I walk away from 80% then I buy . I do all the leg work and take the guess work out of buying online. I spend hours and days sometimes making sure I get the right beetle convertibles and not junk . For example I recently took a trip to San Francisco and looked at a 79 beetle and the guy stated "great car with no rust,top with no rips or tears " . I got there spent 6 hours waiting for the guy to do whatever he was doing sitting in a parking lot and ended up the car barely ran , he went right though a stop sign because the brakes didn't work and the car had softball size rust spots all over the car and the top was shredded along the bottom and he was asking almost as much as I received for my last car. This is a rare instance but an example that I do not buy junk and no matter how far I have to drive or look I will not settle for just anything. This does not mean this car I am selling is perfect. I have stated it's flaws and you will see for yourself how it drives and what it looks like. If you are still unsure we always recommend in person inspection or hire and independent inspector. This is car is over 30 years old and is being sold as is and all sales are final. You are responsible for all inspections , smog or whatever you state requires. I have a Clear open California title but if needed I can easily have the title switched into my name no problem. Terms:Deposit of $750.00 is due Immediately after auctions end and not the next day. This is to lock in the sale and the car is sold to you and no matter if you are 20 mins away or 20 hours away paypal is due. If you do not have a paypal account you need to email us prior to bidding.
