Vehicle Detail
My 280ZX is a great example of Nissan's contribution of the beautiful, thrilling, fun, yet affordable sports cars that they continue to build today. It was recently repainted with Metalic Dark Wine(the original color) and has a very straight body with no rust. I wish my 350Z had these T-tops, they are easily removed(if you have the key to the locks) and can be stored in the back in the padded factory storage carriers and strapped down for secure cruising. They also have the factory inserts to keep out the hot sun and let in the star light. The polished aluminum wheels appear to be original and have Goodyear Road Handler tires with little wear. Behind the wheels are disc brakes all around(very unusal for a 1982 car). The interior is in exceptionally good condition as well as the carpet and new 280ZX emblem foor mats. The dash and door panels are clear of cracks and blemishes. There is a Kenwood radio/cd, but I have the original stereo and a spare, both need casette repairs. The rear seats fold down for more storage and they give you an insurance break in most cases. The rear port windows open with levers on the console for a nice breeze. The 280E inline six is fuel injected and famous for being very reliable and economical to drive. It uses no oil and accelerates smoothly through the gears never failing to put a smile on my face. The radiator and alternator have been recently replaced as well as the spark plugs and wires, fuel and air filters, rotor and distrbutor cap. I had the rear brake calipers and parking brake cable replaced, and a new turbo low resistriction muffler installed. The transmission has new synthetic fluid. The windshield has a couple of chips, I can't drive a car a week without getting them. My Z has been kept in the garage as it was by the previous owner. The original spare tire(inflatible) is there with the inflation gas bottle and the jack, lug wrench, and wheel chocks in the bag. The original clock works when it wants, but all the other gauges and instruments work great. These cars have a little panel inside the speedometer( a 0 to 85 mph joke ) which displays a number of sensors including: stop lights, head lights, tail lights, windshield washer level and coolant level. All work fine, but if YOU start to move with the parking brake on, a door ajar, or some other social error a lady computer voice will remind you to put things in order. Especially if the "FUEL LEVEL IS LOW" , VERY PERISISTANT. These cars have the long hood and excellant front to rear weight ratio for handling like no other car. The classic styling of the 280ZX combined with the experience of driving a well engineered sports car makes the few remaining 280Z's a good bargain. As I was finishing the Z, I found another car I just had to have, so I need the space and the money to move on to the next project. Please contact me with any questions you may have. I will work with a trensport service or I can pick you up at the Amarillo airport. The Z is ready for a return trip. Good luck to all bidders. This car was sold a few days ago, but the winning bidder was disqualified, so I am offering my ZX again. Please, only serious and qualifed bidders participate in this process. I appreciate your interest in my 280ZX
