Vehicle Detail

1995 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 4 door, luggage rack, tow package and oversized tires with plenty of tread left. Please view many more photos here: http://s68.photobucket.com/albums/i24/jnamccarty/Tahoe/ TITLE IS FREE AND CLEAR IN HAND AND WILL BE SIGNED OVER UPON PICKUP OF TAHOE. Transmission was rebuilt 50k miles ago. The truck began overheating last fall, and we could not find the source of the problem as it was intermittent. We believed it to be a warped head, but were continually told no. So we swapped out everything in the cooling system, and it still gave us problems. It has now been sitting for 3 months while we debate on fixing it or selling it, and now it no longer starts. We give up. Husband said it now looks like there is antifreeze in the oil - though it hasn't been running? So, Im guessing there is your answer to the problem. We never had the normal head gasket problems (white sweet smelling exhast, loss of coolant, etc). We have priced engines, but we don't need the truck any longer as we have accumulated too many vehicles and no longer need the power this gives. It is a tough truck and has even pulled cop cars out of ditches! It towed out 4 horse trailer without any problems. It gets 17 mpg highway. Problems that need addressed: Obviously, the engine - whatever the problem may be with it. I would just bank on replacing it. The gas gauge doesn't work. We had to replace the fuel pump and when we put the tank back on, the sensor is either not connected or is grounded out. Never had the time or patience to drop the tank once again! Heater switch - it doesn't change from defrost to vent etc. A/c also needs charged. The interior is fantastic for the age of the vehicle except for the dash. Because of the oversized tires, if not rotated at least every 7k miles, you get a shake in the ride. With sun damage and the shake, the dash became loose. We have secured it ourselves - redneck style :) but to be honest, it should be replaced. Prices at the junkyard are very good - especially if you get it yourself. A new one costs $500 (wow!) The drivers door isn't set correctly anymore. There is a rubber pad or something that would fix this in the door hinge, but we never did it as we didn't use it that often. Otherwise, with a little work and time, you have a tough truck! Exterior besides the front grille area as shown in pictures is great! Interior is still in great shape. I have not had it detailed, or steam cleaned it myself, so the pictures show it pre-detailed. Who knows how good it will look after someone has the time to put into it! There are extra switches and plugs run for lights, speakers etc. I do believe that is all I can tell you about the truck. It's been good to us, but as our family grows - we are now a minivan family... and no longer have use for this! Please do not hesitate to ask questions, and I will get you the answer. Buyer will be responsible for picking up the vehicle. We are unable to deliver it. We will work with you in whatever way we can to get the vehicle to you, if you have it delivered, provided it is paid for in full. **PAYMENT**Payment will be set up as follows:1/2 due by paypal upon successful auction win.Final 1/2 due in cash when you pick up the Tahoe and title.
