Vehicle Detail
'73 TR6, commission number CF1641U, I bought it back in 2008. I believe I am the fourth owner. Originally a Georgia car, it now has 85k miles. Car was a great runner (recent valve lash adjustment, new fuel pump, electronic ignition conversion, timing chain is in good shape), parked last year when ignition switch broke. It should fire up and run with a new ignition switch. When I first bought the car, it was wearing a horrendous burgundy paint job - I started sanding and priming with the intention of repainting it white (its original color). Frame is rock solid (9/10), the body tub is very clean on the outside but has some rust here and there - there are a couple holes in the rockers behind the front fenders, but the floors, sills, trunk, and exterior panels are all very solid (I'd say a 6/10). The car is primed and partially sanded, almost ready for paint - there are a couple of small rust spots I sanded down and sealed, was going to fill them with some metal and start to lay paint. Interior will need work - I have no seats, and the dashboard was hastily painted by a previous owner (carpet and door panels are nice, though). Top is very serviceable, window is a bit cloudy but it works nicely and only has one seam splitting. It's a solid car and will run great with minimal work, and I'd really prefer not to let it go to waste. This was my dream car, but dreams only go so far when you're unemployed. I have bills to pay, and I really do not want to part it out. Title is clear, I have all parts to put the car together, save for the seats and front air dam (which the car never came with). I also have a vinyl hardtop and some hard-to-find spare parts that will be included with the sale. I am also selling the car locally, and reserve the right to remove this listing if a local sale happens. Otherwise, good luck, and happy bidding!
