This auction is for a 1981 Chevrolet Corvette coupe which has been garage kept in excellent condition. Car has been driven only in sunny summer weather. Engine is a 350 cubic inch 5.7 liter L81. Transmission is a 4-speed automatic. Total odometer miles currently is 76,039. The car is a glass t-top model. This vehicle is one of the few Corvettes painted in the Mahogany Metallic color from Chevy. Records indicate that Chevrolet only produced a total of 1,092 Corvettes in this color for the 1981 model year. Far more of every other color was made that year, so you won't be seeing too many of these left out there. The interior leather and carpet color of this vehicle is Cinnabar, which is Chevy color code 672. The leather is in very good maintained condition. There are no visible cuts/tears on the leather, as well as no stains on the carpet. The engine is the vehicle original 350 with matching numbers. Engine has been babied; never rebuilt. The AM/FM 8-track cassette radio works. Power windows. Rear defrost. All gauges. Vehicle has tilt steering column. Sport style side mirrors. All vehicle lights work and are in excellent condition. T-top sleeve covers are included to place covers in rear cargo area. T-top interior shades are included. A Wolf car cover used for the vehicle will be included. BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires (4) are in new condition with full tread. Tires have raised white lettering. Vehicle has been meticulously maintained. Oil used always is Mobile One synthetic. I have nearly all receipts for the vehicle to pass on to the buyer. Nearly all of the tune-up work performed on the vehicle through the years has been with M&S Automotive in LaSalle, IL. An extra catalytic converter is included. The parking brake now needs to be serviced, as it has lost its tension over the years. A new heater core is needed if you plan to use the vehicle heat. There is a very small scrape on the bottom of the passenger side front bumper cover. This was from the bumper bumping a parking barrier. It needs a touch-up from a body shop, but is hard to notice. I have taken a close-up photo showing this blemish. All in all, this is a very well kept Corvette with a rare factory body color. This auction will be listed without reserve. The first bid begins the sale of the car. The car will be available for in-person inspection and test drive while the auction is in progress. The second option is that you can arrive with the FULL amount in cash, and the vehicle is then yours to take. The vehicle may ONLY be picked up. No shipping arrangements will be made by the seller.
