For sale I have my 1996 Chevy Tahoe with a 6.5 turbo diesel engine. I have owned the truck for about 9 years now. It has never let me down and runs great. The Tahoe starts right up without smoke and has good power. Even in the middle of the winter it will start right up without any trouble. The engine has had a bypass oil filtration system on it since I bought it at 124k. http://www.fs2500.com The engine uses about 1/2 quart of oil between changes, and that is probably due to the fact that the engine oil cooler lines are starting to leak again. ( I have replaced them twice, but GM ones are known not to last very long.) The transmission 4L80E is the same transmission that they put in one ton trucks, so you know it is heavy duty. I have serviced it regularly and also installed a B&M valve body kit, as well as an electronic shift controller that you can control from the cab. The steering feels good, and the rest of the drive train has received regular services. Tires are 35%. The check engine light is on because I removed the EGR valve and replaced the intake with one from a one ton truck. The body shows signs of normal wear. The rockers just rusted through this spring. I tried to take some pictures of the underside to show that the truck is good and solid. The interior is in good clean condition. No rips or tears, the seats are in great shape. Everything works! I did not have the truck detailed or the carpets cleaned. I wanted to show the truck as it is.
