FULL DELUXE MARTI REPORT INCLUDED. THIS IS 1 OF 82 CARS WITH THIS COLOR COMBINATION FOR 1968 AND DEFINITELY RARE!!! FACTORY OPTIONS: Power steering Manual convertible top Manual drum brakes Single exhaust Matching numbers C-code 289ci/200hp V8 motor Matching numbers Automatic C4 transmission Stock AM radio Deluxe interior w/console Stock steel wheels with DELUXE hubcaps This 68 Mustang convertible has been adult owned and enjoyed throughout. It has been in PA since 1987 and I believe it's a 3 owner vehicle. The car is ALL NUMBERS MATCHING and a very presentable UNRESTORED SURVIVOR. May even have most of its original paint on it as I did not see any other layers of paint under it. It has been family owned and kept in dry storage for a long time. Taken out a couple of years ago and gone through. When I got it, I just cleaned it a bit, fixed the brakes (the car had no brakes so I checked the lines and fixed one wheel cylinder). As mentioned, it's a fairly unusually optioned car, and even even has the deluxe convertible top (not the more common cheaper fabric, but the more resistant type). The tires are steel belted and the front ones may even be the original ones the vehicle came with, it is that original! The factoryspare is still present as well as the factory trunk liner. Interior is in GOOD overall condition. Seats in good shape (except for driver's front back support which has rips). Steering wheel is nice with a few small cracks. Dash is good. Door panels are very nice. Convertible top is very clean with no rips or tears, rear window is foggy. Carpet is older and other than some tears by the driver's footwell it's presentable. Overall a nicely presentable high-end driver quality interior! Under the hood lies the stock MATCHING NUMBERS 289ci/200hp C-code motor that runs beautifully. It is 100% Stock with NO modifications of any sort. The car runs/drives beautifully and starts at the turn of the key. Runs great and idles great. Transmission shifts nice and smooth. Brakes stop fairly well although pedal is spongy. Steering is nice and nimble and the car rides very well. I've taken it around town and on the highway a couple of times and it has never let me down. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up FAIRLY with good luster for a nice driver but it has various small imperfections as you would expect. There's an exhaust leak somewhere or some of the exhaust pipes may have holes in them as car is a little louder than stock. Instruments and electrics seem to be working fine with the exception of a couple of bulbs needing replacement. Missing: passenger side front marker light, rear passenger side quarter trim ornament (above taillight). Lower front valence has a dent where it meets the bottom of the fender, perhaps from hitting a high curb. Passenger side has some scuff/scrape marks by rear quarter panel. There are some rust bubbles here and there on the outer body, with one pencil sized hole by the top of the front passenger fender. Underside has scaly surface rust throughout with some holes by floors here and there but overall they seem in one piece. Stock towers are ok. Torque boxes both have holes in them although they're in one piece. Front passenger side frame rail has some rust behind radiator support. That's about all I was able to notice. It may need a few other tiny things as any other used car, so please keep that in mind. THIS IS A FAIRLY SHARP LOOKING 1968 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE WITH 102K MILES AND A 1 OF 82 COLOR COMBINATION SO YOU CAN'T MISS IT ANYWHERE YOU TAKE IT. VERY ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING UNRESTORED SURVIVOR THA YOU CAN DRIVE AS IS WITH VERY MINOR TLC OR RESTORE TO HAVE A SHOW STOPPER!. Contact me at (917) 749-4302 cell or e-mail MBOTERASHV@AOL.COM. Auction may be stopped at any time.
